To me, this makes 0 sense, and just seems like a glitch, but I was told by another player that you're just allowed to see people's mucked cards after a showdown. Here's an example:

PokerStars Game #20171645094: Hold'em No Limit ($0.50/$1.00) - 2008/09/05 16:38:19 ET
Table 'Oceax III' 9-max Seat #8 is the button
Seat 1: nate21 ($100 in chips)
Seat 2: Andy371 ($54.70 in chips)
Seat 3: my_gem ($102.90 in chips)
Seat 4: N_W_Child ($63.65 in chips)
Seat 5: kronenbourg2 ($101.50 in chips)
Seat 6: madnygreen ($54.80 in chips)
Seat 7: GudSpeler ($80.55 in chips)
Seat 8: bental ($97.50 in chips)
Seat 9: cpehh ($101.10 in chips)

nate21: mucks hand
bental collected $36.70 from pot
*** SUMMARY ***
Total pot $38.50 | Rake $1.80
Board [7c 4c Kc 3h 7h]
Seat 1: nate21 (big blind) mucked [6c 6h]
Seat 2: Andy371 folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 3: my_gem folded on the Flop
Seat 4: N_W_Child folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 5: kronenbourg2 folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 6: madnygreen folded before Flop (didn't bet)

Seat 9: cpehh (small blind) folded before Flop

To me, I shouldn't be allowed to see that Nate had 66. He mucked his cards. What would happen in a casino if somebody mucked their cards, but you went ahead and turned them over anyways? Anybody else have a bit of a beef with this? Of course now that I know this, I'll be clicking visualize for every mucked showdown to get a better read on the person.

The casinos I've been to, if you were involved in a hand (dealt cards) you have the right to see any hand that went to showdown, even if they muck. It rarely happens, but I have seen someone muck at showdown and someone else asked to see the cards. They called the pit boss over and he said the dealer has to show the cards.

Allabout is right. and we all have software that allows us too see the mucked cards automatically after every hand by reading the HH itself. We also have every hand history saved in this same program and it will tell us his tendencies and stats.

Watch some of the FTR vids and you will see all this in action.

I would also tend not to get bothered by anything that is the same for everybody. Same rules apply for them, they see your mucked cards.
