I agree, way harder to navigate and that bright red is horrible. I liked it better the way it was before. They only needed to fix a couple things, not redo the entire software.

Playing my first tournie with the new interface as we speak. I have to say i HATE this thing. Plus they did not manage to fix the worst thing (IMHO) from the old one - the sucky hand history interface. I guess I'll drop them an e-mail to see if there is any chance to get the old interface back, if not then I'm on to another poker room.

Where can I clear bonus w/ 5$ SnGs?

edit: the new "pot-bet" button could be a nice feature if you're totally lazy, but it actually makes pot + 1BB-sized bets.

The multi table sucks but I'm hoping it might have a positive side, If all the multi tabling rocks / sharks get pissed and leave its going to get even fishyer. Kinda like Pacific with everone only playing one table their going to get impatient which leads to more dumb aggression and chasing.

Maybe, but it was already a fish fest. I already withdrew, I just hope they fix the multitable bullshit

HalvSame...

Where else can I go to clear bonuses just playing sng's?

Ive heard Bodog do a 100% type rakeback whereby if I play a $10+$1 sng.. they give me bonus points equivalent to $1 real bonus?

Any other sites do this?
I know PokerStars do something similar but only give your FPP's and not "real" money?

Any ideas?

At Bodog you can clear the 10% deposit/reload bonus easily by playing SnG's, but I don't know what to use the "Poker Points" for after clearing that bonus. In December (OT:is it correct to use upper case for the first letter of a month's name in english?) they had a "convert your points to cash"-offer, but I don't think you can do that anymore. I guess I'll have to do a couple of their 200 points MTTs/freerolls to spend my points.

As to your question, well, that's just a rephrasing of my question, isn't it? I'm hoping for an answer myself, but I guess I'll probably just deposit somewhere supported by pokertracker/poker office and similar regardless of the bonus structure.

There's a thread on the subject of SnG bonus clearing here, I'm hoping for some more replies in that thread.

Edit: OK, that thread was started by you, so I guess it's not much help :P.

So at Bodog, you have to make so many points before they release the 10% real money into your account?? Then after that... you have these "points" that you can mount up to use on other games etc etc???

Sounds good..

Ive not got the Bodog software yet so I will take a look tonight but judging by what ppl are saying on this thread... it may take some getting used too!!

What is the opposition like at $10 sng's? Is it pretty beatable??

They actually deposit the 10% into your account immidiately, but you have to "earn it" before withrawing from the account. However, I would not deposit at Bodog with the new interface. I right out hate it, and this combined with the imho sucky hand history format just makes it annoying for me to stay there.

As for the level of the players at the 10$ sng, I do not know for sure. I moved up from the 5's and went on a pretty big OOTM streak, so I moved back down again. Even though some (most?) of the losses were due to bad beats and cold cards, I felt it best to step back and analyse my play without risking to go bust. But that is a different story. It did not _seem_ to me that the players at the 10's were much better than at the 5's though.

UPDATE: I've e-mailed my complaints to Bodog a number of different times. I called them last night and the initial feedback after one day's use was definitely negative.

I got a wild hair up my butt and decided to call again to vent to a different person (hoping that my words actually do get passed on), while also trying to find out if changes would actually be made. Here is what "Reggie" had to say to me.

1) There have been a LOT of complaints. The Bodog Poker Customer Service has been log-jammed with people complaining about various things.

2) Something will definitely be done about the new interface. There have been way too many complaints about non-bug related issues. Too many people have cashed out over the last few days. The message has been sent: people hate the new interface.

3) By far the biggest complaint about the new interface that people have is with it's playability, and more importantly, the navigation between tables.

4) The second biggest non-bug issue is problems with the color scheme. The red screen freaking SUCKS. It's hard on the eyes after thirty minutes of play. WTF they were thinking, I will never know, but they know that's their second biggest problem.

I've taken the nice guy approach when talking with customer service. I haven't complained about any bugs, like how I can't get the damn thing to work on my PC (I have to play on a lap-top). Bugs are going to happen with any new product, and I understand this.

My biggest complaints were about multi-tabling and the color scheme.

We are being heard, through our e-mails, phone calls, and most importantly....in their pocket-book. Lots of people are fed up and have taken their money out, vowing not to return unless things change.

Okay, I think I've beaten this dead horse enough for tonight. Good day.

Well well well....

I downloaded Bodog last night as Im very happy with their 100% rakeback type deal they do for tournament players..
I played 2 games.. 1st was a $5.50 sng.. I busted out 5th. The play was EXTREMELY (cannot emphasis this enough) SLOW. Everyone on my table complained about it and I gotta admit... a few ppl busted out early cos they couldnt be arsed playing. Lots of ppl also said they were withdrawing!

I then decided to do a turbo game ($6.60). I never play these as they seem too much of a complete gamble/crapshoot but I actually found it much better and more realistic in comparison to a normal speed game on other sites. I found this game bearable.. but people were still complaining. I got asked if there were any other sites worth trying so I gave him VC poker. He downloaded the software as were were playing. After hearing his compliments.. I think he may be moving there..
ps.. I won the $6 game.. my first on Bodog so I was happy.

I have to say the interface is terrible, but bearable, but maybe not for people who used the previous software but I know no different so cant comment on the changes.
I do have to say im very happy with their first time deposit bonus. I received $100 "ecash" in my account, put $250 in and I checked my balance after the first game and my account still said I had $250 but the "ecash" money had dropped by $5.50 so in effect I am playing $100's worth of tournaments for free!!

UPDATE: Our Voices Have Been Heard!

I just got off the phone with Bodog Customer Service and it appears that, "over the next month or so," the current bugs will be fixed and new changes will be added that will allow the new Bodog interface to actually become PLAYABLE. The changes are listed below.

1. You will be able to open multiple tables without having to tab between tables or use the "picture in picture" function. You will be able to open up to three full-sized tables at a time, just like you used to be able to. This is a good change because playing more than one table on this site is next to impossible with the way things are now.

2. You will be able to change the color of your table. The "blood red" will still be an option, but you'll also be able to pick between "poker green" and a "light blue" color. This is a good thing because their "blood red" color was not easy on the eyes, and it even made my stomach a little queezy looking at it for more than thirty minutes.

3. They may change the size of the cards in the future. Right now their cards are very small, and they're located within a box, with avatars twice their size sitting next to them. When I tried out the new interface I played a few hands thinking I was heads-up when there were actually other people in the hands. After screwing up like this a few times, I found myself looking at every player's position on the table to determine who was in the hand and who wasn't. It was annoying. This change is a good one.

So...It looks like our voices have been heard. All of those e-mails, all of those phone calls, and more importantly, all of us taking our rake elsewhere really did the job.

Expect to see these changes (at least 1 and 2) in the next month or so.

That guy DawkinsFan in the screenshot took my $100 stack during my massive summer downswing when I had AA and he cold called with 99 flopped a set and tripled up against me and a fish who was all in on a straight draw.I had raised to like $3-$5 preflop he CALLLED with NO money invested and flopped his set.I bet my remaining $95 he coldcalled it all with a pot of only $15 and won.He left the table a few minutes later.

But no I'm not bitter.

To be honest I still was in the early stages of my online career so I def had alot to learn(I still do but am making strides).I've since dropped down from the NL100 and NL50 tables to the .15/.30 and .25/.50 tables(with an ocassional foray into the .50/1 tables when a bonus comes up.I was able to rebuild my battered bankroll from $450(which at one point had been like $1000) to the $1500 or so it is now.

So I learned my lesson......the Mike McD hard way.

Actually I have-the past few weeks I taught someone the hard way their Jack high flush was not good against my Ace high flush, ran over someone who had a flush with my boat, and ran over someone with a straight with my flush.

But apparently they're slow learned like me too .
