OK, I'm just about ready to make my first foray into the online poker world (play money aside). I'm planning on taking a nice chunk of money at the begining of the month and doing some bonus whoring.
I'm sure I'll want to mess with a rake-back setup at some point, but its not a priority for me right now. However if someone thinks I shouldn't start without one, I'd love to hear more about what they can recommend.
I consider myself a good NL player, and a very good NL single table tourney player. I enjoy the sit-n-go's much more than ring game playing, but I don't mind spending time at a ring game to work off the bonus. I realy do not care for limit, but maybe its smarter to do the bonus whoring there, advise would be greatly apreciated in this area.
I know this question gets asked a lot, but the answer may have changed recently, so I'll ask again. Where is a highly recommended place for me to start? I only want to have $200 tied up in this hobby initially, but I don't mind temporarily using $1,000-$2000 (deposit and instant withdrawl) to achieve maximum bonus provided I am not puting more than the $200 at risk on the site.
Thanks

I'm sure the pros here can add much more, but if you're not comfortable with Limit, don't work off a bonus with it. That's kinda what I thought when I started, and it was a mistake. You can easily work off bonuses with NL ring games, if that's your preference. I'm also in the same spot, I prefer SNGs but I'll play NL ring for the bonuses, and they give you a cushion to work with.
As to which sites, I've only played Pokerroom, PS, and PP. PS usually doesn't have a bonus, and the PR bonus is much slower than PP(or others from what I've heard), plus I personally dislike the layout. I'll probably not even play enough to collect it.
PP is probably as good a place to start as any. You can always save the rakeback for Empire(a PP skin), which is what I'm planning on doing when I start there.
Good luck!
