When you sign-up with a poker room, what will make you deposit with the room? I'm just wondering what do attract you of a poker room, to make your initial deposit with that specific room.

You can choose more than one answer.

Cheers,

Mel

Rakeback, plenty of tables at my stake, and easy deposit/withdrawal options that are quick, In that order. I can guarantee that RB (or bonus/points plans) is a huge decision for anyone not depositing $50-$100 every couple weeks. Sites need to be able to give it's regulars enough of a return to expedite the cash from the deposits into rake. I know of plenty of poeple that would leave Stars for Full Tilt if they would give them RB on existing accounts. I know that 80% of the regs on my network (iPoker) are only there because of RB (40%++) only.

not really in order of importance, but these 4 are key

1) stability/security of site = how certain am i that i can get my money back
2) sign up bonus size, but more importantly how easily it is cleared (i.e. effective rakeback equivalence)
3) game quality = number of tables running, fish ratio
4) rakeback or equivalent vip program

I do agree with you on the stability/security of the site...but then it comes back on option 2 with poker room reviews on forums.. other than forums, Internet, and word of mouth, where would you get that info to conclude stability etc? The trust feeling needs to be build from somewhere or somehow... I will also go with years in the industry and reliability as of points of contact, deposit options and withdrawal options to be certain to get your money back or better says your winnings.
