I have been playing at Pacific a few days now, and have done quite well.

I entered a 5.50 NLHE tourney last night and came in 6th out of 584 to win 117.00. That's my best finish ever, by far.

I entered a Limit HE event today, and I was playing my usual tight style, and doing very well. I had doubled my stack up and was rolling.

Here's where we go into the twilight zone. All of a sudden I notice that nobody is playing a hand. Everyone folds all the way around, including the small blind. I watch this happen for two rounds.

Curious, on the next round, I put in a raise. Sure enough, the small blind AND big blind folded to me. I did it again, eveyrone folded again. I did it again, everyone folded again.....and so on.

This went on for 15 minutes. Apparently 90 percent of the people in the tournament had been disconnected by Pacific and couldn't play their hand. I was the only one at my table with a connnection.

When I'd bust one person, they move another one in. I was constantly checking the leaderboard, and I eventually was no. 1 in chips.

Unfortunately I got moved to another table, where there were two other guys with connections. They had been taking turns stealing blinds, so I went into chat, and we continued the rotation, each stealing all of the dead blinds in turn.

This went on until we were in the money for sure (top 20 spots). Eventually it got down to just the connected people were in - 16 of us total.

It was VERY hard to resume playing after all of these shenanigans...I ended up taking 8th and the 21.75 payout. I suffered a few bad beats, and actually got disconnected myself for about 10 minutes.

Weird stuff. I don't know how common this is there, but I was on the receiving end this time. I had already initiated a cashout of my previous nights winnings and decided to take another 50 out so that I would limit my exposure should this site be on the way out.

It was Christmas in September for a while there, while I was the only guy on my table. I felt kinda guilty, but what else was I supposed to do? Hopefully all of the disconnecteds will get their money back.

I thought that only happened in movies

If something like that happens they should stop the tournament.

Last week I was in a 2 table SnG with 2 afks at the final table.
BOTH of them made the money another ugy and I just fought for first/second.

It happens all the time it's not that they get disconned its that they sign up and are not online to play. Its a good strat to try to bust the only person at your table quickly to steal the blinds.
Poker is all about the long long long long long long long term . . .

No, they were disconnected by Pacific. Out of 185 people, only 16 were able to play their hands. This has been a problem at Pacific for the past couple of weeks.

I've been disconnected from a MTT tournament before at Pacific. However, it was $2 entry. I would have bitched and moaned if it was more than that, but $2 isn't worth the trouble to even complain.
