I already have an account on FT, but I want to take advantage of rakeback. Should I just close the account and open another one?......which probably won't be opened for about 6 months (currently on UB building br). Or should I just open an account under a family member's name? Opening under someone else's name has obvious advantage -->1st time bonus on new account +referral bonus on old account. But this might not mean much since I'll probably be playing 25nl-50nl. I can't remember what the time limit is before the bonuses expire. The big thing is just peace of mind, getting the rakeback on an account with my name on it.

Open under a new name with a new deposit method and a new address. Thats basically your only option.

Hi.
I have a simillar question. A friend of mine who has not yet played for Rakeback wants to open an account at FT. He wonders how much RB (in round figures) he would earn per month playing NL$100 and NL$200 FR for about 5 hours/day playing 5 tables.
He also wants to know how big the difference is if he was playing 6max.
He has been checking out one of the "rakeback calculators", but he doesn´t trust the figures they show.

Anybody here whos playing these levels, please help

Miffed22001 is on a distinguished road
if you have an account you need a new name eg g/f otherwise you are truly fucked.
No im not joking. As for 5hrs a day playing 6 max, that makes a fair amount of rb me thinks.
He should make 1.5k-2k in 50k hands

Hi.
He doesn´t have an account there yet. I have, but I´m only playing lower limits and for a lot less hours than he does, so I couldn´t really help him.
Any ideas about the figures for Full Ring? I think he prefers that, but I don´t think 6max is any problems.

For $100nl, say average pot size is $15 (i just logged on, looks about right for FR there, blame the shortstacking rocks!).
So that's about $0.75 table rake per hand, divide by nine is about 8cents rake per hand for your friend to get 27% back on.
so 2 cents/hand
70 hands per hour, times five tables.
like $7US/hr of play.
playing 5hrs/day for 25days = 35*25=$875.
200nl this becomes around $1500.

How does my math sound? All these numbers are low estimates, so could be more. You should log on yourself and check out my numbers, the math is simply a calculator
=(average pot size*0.05*0.27)/9 to get the rakeback/hand value.
Then figure out how many hands your friend will be playing
