What pre-paid credit cards do you recommend? I live in Canada and can grab one from a Loblaws a few blocks from me.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

E-Checks are easiest for me ... at least they were, before I got my new card.

Stay on subject people. It's a valid question. Some people don't want to deal with banks and require a payment method. Has anyone in CANADA used a prepaid Visa/MC in recent past to deposit? Which card and for how much?

When I made my original deposit, I used the All Access Visa card but apparently Stars doesn't accept them anymore. FTP still does, at least they did a few months ago. Living in the US sucks for poker players. Stupid UIGEA.

I think it's a load a crap. I'm pretty left in my political views and have a streak of libertarianism, and I think it's ludicrous that our civil liberties be sacrificed because the government is favouring one capitalist over another. The corporate and the tribal casinos are so disgustingly crooked. They fund and make deals with power political figures in the religious right, who in turn create a bullshit moral panic about Internet poker among poorly-educated fundamentalist types.
Even where I'm from, the provincial government was paid off by the horse racing lobby to ban poker networks from advertising real money games (Ontario is a major reason for there being a separate pokerstars.net client). If people can blow entire pension or welfare cheques at a racetrack, why can't people put a few bucks on a credit card?
I must sound like a faux-populist nut by now. Sorry.

You could always try Full Tilt, I know they have accepted Visa in the not so distant past. If your not able to use it on Stars, complaining does very little, I would just look to another method. I use Moneybookers for almost all of my transactions. I have never deposited except for an original $2.00 to verify my account, but have used it to withdraw thousands of dollars right to my bank account. Now you verify your account by using your Visa. it's safer than I think most online sites would traditionally be. There has been some unscrupulous activities int he past with sites and Credit cards.
I would also look into the Bankroll management threads here and figure out why you need to keep depositing when most regulars here haven't deposited money in years, despite having withdrawn money regularly. Hence the reason you see very little complaints or responses to depositing threads. Nobody deposits anymore.

I deposited into my PokerStars account with a Visa at the start of last month for their deposit bonus without problem (I'm in Canada). I haven't tried since then though.

How about all the other deposit options? Most notably Moneybookers and Neteller?

For a US player it's down to almost zilch. neteller went out years ago and moonybookers, too. for PS
the only cc that was still available to PS was through netspend which is no longer working (accepted on PS)
netspend was convenient for those who wanted to keep it "off the books at home",

Neteller doesn't accept Canadian customers. Moneybookers is standard for Canucks. Use your current Visa to fund your Moneybookers acct (I've never heard of one being turned down) and then deposit on Stars with Moneybookers.
Online wallets like MB are really convenient should you wish to change rooms. Then there's none of this sketchy swapping business and no need to get a pre-paid card every time you want to change rooms.

I deposited on PS through western union. It cost a little more but it's easy and I'm pretty sure it's still a viable option.

Netspend doesn't allow online gaming deposits anymore as of June 1st. I talked to a poker stars employee. That means pre-paid cards won't work any more.
