If you didn't know already, Ultimate Bet is offering a 20% re-load bonus through out December. I decided to take advantage of this offer and in honor of my return, UB decided to revise their MTT structure. Instead of 1,000 starting chips, they now are giving you 1,500 for tournaments with buy-ins of less than $100 and 2,500 with buy-ins greater than $100. The blinds increase every 12 minutes.

Before now I would give Poker Stars my vote for the best site for MTTs. In my opinion UB now rivals them. Although the blinds increase every 12 minutes as oppossed to every 15 minutes on Poker Stars, I think the blind increments go up slower on UB. I'm not positive of the exact numbers, but I'll post them later. The competition is inferior on UB as well which is another major factor. Grant it, I have an extremely small sample size, but I have played in 9 tourneys so far ranging from $10+1 to $30+3 and have placed in the money seven times including two final tables. The tourney sizes are less too which can be good or bad depeding on your perspective. The smallest I entered had ~150 people, but it was also at 2:00 pm EST on a Monday. The largest I entered had over 1,000 people. Generallly though most of the tournaments I have been in and have watched have been between 250-400 people.

Please take note that my recent success at UB has more than likely biased my opinion. I'll post again sometime later when I have a chance to crash and burn. If you like playing MTTs though, I'd strongly suggest giving UB another look.
