Is anyone else wary about sitting into a game with miltiple players from the same city?

2 players at a 6 max from Las Vegas, no big deal.
But like last night on AP, 3 players in a 6 max from Lubbock = no thanks.

I could wait around and look for clues (squeezing, soft play when in hand together) before sitting in, but usually I'll just pass on seats in otherwise decent games.
Think I'm too nervous about this?

I rarely bother looking at where people are from, but I would not sit at a 6max with 3 from the same town if I noticed.

EasyT is on a distinguished road
I never look at other people's towns, but on Saturday some guy at my table said, "Hay Tagg, where are you at? I'm up N. Ahterton Street, behind the Giant shopping plaza." Yup he was just down the road from me, which was pretty nutty.

I emailed him and invited him to my home game on Friday. (here's hoping he's not a jerk!)

If they were there to collude, don't you think they'd be smart enough to use different towns? Yet, if they're NOT there to collude, why didn't they just go over to someone's house and play.....save the rake?

Ha, that's pretty cool you found someone for your home game. i chat with people about where they're from a lot. It's one of the reasons I check. That, and just getting whatever info I can about the players.

You make a good point that cheaters should be smart enough not to use the same town. But "should be" and actually are = two different things.

Cheating itself isn't very smart, especially when consider that the room can review logs to find evidence and lock an account that includes deposit + winnings.
I can also imagine cheaters just sort of deciding to cheat, rather than planning it out well enough to declare different towns, if you see what I mean. Like they both have accounts somewhere and one day they say, "hey, let's get in the same game and IM each other, we'll clean up."

Where I am, we have a group of about 10-20 guys and we all play on PokerStars a lot. It's just more convenient to go play online rather than get everyone together for a game at 10pm Monday night or whatever.

Most of the time there will be tables with over half of the people knowing each other and being from the same town, but none of us try to cheat or anything..

I guess I'd be kinda cautious if I saw the same type of thing cause not everyones as honest as us.
