Not to cause a uproar on Computer randomization or Casino site validity, but has anyone noticed that when playing multiple tables, you often get the same cards?? Its happened only a few times where it was same cards, same suit, but more occationally same cards come out on the flop.
Just curious if anyone else has noticed this, or if they know how the "random" card generators work, if they are truly independent from each other. No need to raise suspecion or claims that the cards could be predicted, but just wanted to post this thought.
Anyone?? Anyone?? Bueller?? Anyone?

I notice this happens quite often - while the suits don't match, the denominations of my cards on both tables very often do - and the flops are usually 2/3 of the same denomination.
Of course, this is probably all due to the fact that I'm playing many more hands per hour, so it just seems to happen a lot, but I'm going to attempt to do some actual statistical analysis against what it should be in independent trials.

I also notice I get the same hands that are on the WPT or WSOP when I'm watching reruns at the same time that I'm playing. Its just how the human mind works. You detect patterns, even where there are none. You ignore the 9 times that they aren't the same, and then are shocked the 1 time they are, and remember ten hands ago they were similiar, etc.
Oddities stick out in your mind more than what is expected.

I have seen similar things. For instance last night at two different tables, I got   on one table and   and within two hands the same exact thing happened, same exact cards on both tables but suits were exchanged. Im sure it was just random, but when you see stuff like that it make you wonder.
The thing that makes me the maddest though is when you make a cash out, the cards automatically turn bad and bad beats galore. Thus you end up putting the "cash out" into "cash in". Once again im sure it is just random, but boy it is frustrating. It doesnt seem that you could make a computer more random than the old casino dealer does. But then again this bring up "bots" or "favorite players" where the online casino has an interest in who wins. OK im done. Really, I believe the worst thing an online casino could do would be to "mess up" their cash cow by being caught with any type of "cheating." When you think back I have seen the exact same hand two or three time in a row at the B&M, and it is just that you see so many more hands when playing multiple tables and many more hrs you are going to see some crazy stuff.

A computer algorithm is at least as random, if not more so, than a B&M dealer. It's using an algorithm that is equivalent to the automatic shufflers used in some B&M's now. (Basically it goes through and picks one random card at a time).
Again, I expect to find nothing from this analysis, but I do have some feeling that the random number generator in online casinos is (at least, at its most basic level) based on a clock time, which would lend some credence to similar patterns of cards coming out on simultaneous hands.

I've seen a few statistical abberrations lately that have made me chuckle.
Not sure if it was last night or the night before, but i was dealt K7 three times in a row at one table, once the same suit.
Many years ago, I made it my policy not to watch the flop to see if I hit it (this is why the fishes play rags all the time, IMO), but while multitabling in ring games recently, I have noticed that I hit the flop pretty big with my hand from the other table. For example, fold A6o at one table, switch to the other table to watch the showdown and play my next hand and see that the flop A66.
I have taken a slide after my last cash out after being up dramatically(which is why I was cashing out in the first place), so it's just evening out now, I figure.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that sees these oddities, but Michael is probably right. You notice the ones that match, more than the ones that don't. But my only concern is the timing. When you get the same 2 hands on two different tables. That happens more often than I would expect. Does anyone know the statistics of getting the same 2 cards on 2 different tables at the same time? It's gotta be pretty high. Same cards different suit, not that bad, but the exact same cards and suit? Sometimes that gets fishy. Maybe I just play online poker too much? Either way I thought I'd just throw that idea out there.

I tend to agree more with scgolfer and michael1123. It's not that it happens more, it's that you notice it more.
I was at a home game and I was delt K8o. The next hand it was K8s. Teh very next hand I had a misdeal, someone delt me an 8 up, so I had to throw it away, but I looked down and saw that my other card was a K.
(it all turned out great cause he replaced it to give me AKs)
This happened about 4 months ago, but I remember it because it was very odd. No computer algorythms here, just odd luck.
I also notice, in live games and online, when I keep getting certain cards. I have 5-6 hands within 10 that I get 2 hearts, or Qx or Jx. Again, it doesn't happen more often, I just notice it more.

It probably is just dumb luck, but yesterday I tested how much luck I actually had. Playing 2 tables and noticed the flush with hearts on one table. My hand on the other table was just delt a  
A guy raised 3 bucks, giving me the impression he had 2 overs if not a pair at least. I called, Just for the reason that I saw more hearts on the other table. Sure enough the flop gave me   
I'm not saying this was because the cards were the same on both tables, I'm just saying I was crazy and because of this little Theory I have, I called the 3 bucks JUST to see if hearts would come out. Curious, but I'll probably end up loosing more in the long run if I try to predict cards like that.

I've never had any problems after cashing out (the cash out curse). Always keep a fat BR you might start playing scared otherwise. someone said it best to me about cards missing.
"you always notice and count how many times AK misses but you never notice 76 missing". the point being that if you watched 76 it would be the same as AK.
