I did alot of research on all the payment options and ePassporte seems to be the best for US players and here is why.

1) There support center is actually located in the US.
2) When I called support I actually got in quickly and got the answers I needed.
3) You can withdrawal money like you could with the neteller debit card.
4) Even better they give you a Visa card that can be used everywhere
5) Its supported at most of the sites and soon probably all of them.
6) Low fees on withdrawals on debit card

I've setup my account and already received a withdrawal from one of my online poker accounts in just one day.

I looked at all the below and others before making posting this.
1) InstaDebit
2) ePassporte
3) Click2Pay
4) ATM Online

In contacting them had you asked what their plans were for continued US player support in light of Neteller's actions?
Does it sound like they're committed?
What about when the 9 month deadline from signing comes up?

-Thanks for doing the legwork, goat.

I've loved epass for long time. :P

As far as their commitment goes, they'll bail as soon as the DOJ shoves a scope up thier ass, just like anyone else.

BUT, from what I hear much of their business is with the pr0n industry. All judgement aside, that makes them less of a target than neteller, as they have 'legitimate' business other than gaming.

They also have a reputation of attracting fraudsters, so some of you may have a little friction with your bank. It is easy to open false name accounts with them, and even get a Visa card with the name 'Hugh Jass' on it, if you like.

Their bank is on St.Kitts. Oddly enough, that puts their Visa card in the USA sphere, and so it is blocked from gaming transactions. But you don't use the Visa card in your gaming transactions. FWIW.
I'm a know-it-all.

No, really.

Meh.

I'm not too excited about any of the remaining options. I'll probably wait for the dust to settle and reading some more opinions of other folks before signing up someplace else (not to mention waiting for the tidal wave of applications to die down). It seems that InstaDebit is no longer a choice for US players, BTW.

What's really terrible is that it isn't crystal clear to me how Click2Pay and ePass work. Please correct me if I got anything wrong here:

Click2Pay:
- Is it an online wallet or not? I get the impression that they move money from your bank account to the poker site and back to your bank without leaving it in an online wallet. Or, is that just an option (that you have to pay extra for like NT's InstaCash) but using the online wallet model is free like NT?
- It is free to deposit with ACH (Direct Debit)
- It is free to do an EFT withdrawl
- $2 charge to have them mail you a paper check
- I've read some complaints about people not being able to sign up because of errors in entering their credit info. And once that happens they can't fix it and you're SOL.

EPass:
- It is an online wallet
- Charges $5 per $100 deposit from your bank to ePass (ACH I suppose). Free deposits/withdrawls between EPass account and poker sites.
- $2 charge per transfer from ePass to your bank via EFT

On 2p2 the TruePoker CEO (or someone with that handle) says that :

"Existing Click2Pay account holders (US)will be able to continue.

Click2Pay will not, as of today, open new US consumer accounts. "

Even if I were an existing C2P account holder, that's not at all reassuring.

Epass will cave in to the US governement's pressure just as the banks have. Why do you think PP cut off all US players when the law was passed? They know whats happening. In due time any US person will not be able to fund any of these sites. Lee Jones will lose that nice raise he just got. Keep poker where it belongs anyway, live.

i just tried to sign up for epassporte 2 days ago.

i put in all my info.
put in my visa debit card info.
i verified the card by telling epass the amount they deposited.
then tried to deposit money.
had to login to verifiedbyvisa.
then i got denied.

denied over and over again.

now i'm waiting on the deposit amounts to verify my bank account directly without going through visa...

their phones lines are always busy...and email hasn't responded in 2 days either.

sigh.
