I'm currently playing at TowerGaming due to the fish/bonuses but it sucks for multitabling (total resource hog and 5max tables break up too easily) and only has good (and fishy) traffic at the higher stakes at certain times on certain days.

So... I need a new site to play when I fancy 4-tabling or when the tables are dry at Tower.

Requirements:
- Must be able to 4 table
- Must have decent bonuses/rakeback
- Must have good table selection
- Must have a nice pool of fishies
- Must NOT be on the ongame network
- Must be poker-office compatible (or PT compatible if an affiliate sign-up deal is available)

I may sacrifice one requirement for an increase in another. Eg, I may look at a site with no rakeback but has thousands of tables running filled with fish 24hrs a day, or a site with less traffic but a very high rakeback percentage etc..

I was thinking about one of the following:

PKR
Boss Media Network (Celeb Poker)
Crypto (Sun Poker)
Empire - (no rakeback available)

Are there any others I should look at or does anyone have any comments about the ones I've listed?

Thanks

of your choices, Boss media is the only one ( no PaHud though, just PT and G+). PKR is resource hogging worse than ongame (One tabling), crypto is a rock garden( sort of the euro Full Tilt) and empire is just party, with no rakeback but party has a decent site with a points reward program that equals about 20% rakeback once you hit the top level. You didn't mention stakes though, I am asuming under $100NL. Prima is a decent choice and there are plenty of others but you never asked about them, so I won't bother with those since you may already know.

I think NoIQ Poker on the iPoker network has a good VIP programme going through my affiliate but I am not quite sure about game selection on this network.

That was before my weekend downswing/tilt-fest - I'm at 3/6 now and recovering.
I also just realised that I still suck at poker..... I'm kind of in a diluted version of the newbie circle of death.

Thanks for the heads-up re: PKR's resource-hogging. I did play crypto a few months ago and thinking back, it was a bit tight.

Obviously the biggest factor in my decision is the softness of the games closely followed by traffic and multi-tabling capabilities. I also forgot to mention that re-sizeable tables will influence my decision too.

I would just try all the sites out but my BR is in £GBP and it costs me a fortune to keep transfering between £'s and $'s if I dont like a site.

Why not leave a chunk of roll on neteller or something similar, or open up a US dollar account with a British trading bank. The latter is even possible here in lil ol' New Zealand, and is zero fees and pays you interest.

I do keep most of my roll in Neteller unless I need a reload or am switching sites but unfortunately thats in GBP too.

I guess I'll look into the USD bank account idea.

OK, so I've narrowed it down to Boss Media or Prima for now, am I right in thinking Boss is fishier because thats the impression I get from some of the pokerroom reviews?

I like PKR. I use an Inspiron 1520, play it perfectly, even 4-tabling.

It is NOT PT compatible though.

I have no idea what this means??

Someone mentioned it was a resource hog... is that what you're reffering to?

LOL, yes Ongame software is so slow and laggy that I find surprising they have pretty big player base. What kind of people want to do that to themselves? On a regular basis!?

Btw, have you thought about Pacific. On one side there's not much traffic at LHE tables. On the other, when the table gathers (usually shorthanded) it's unbelievably soft. These days I've been watching 10/20 games where everyone limp preflop (!) and play very weak postflop - textbook fish! You could have a portion of your roll there and monitor if there's a game running. I've even started thinking about going back to limit after 2yrs of NL. Maybe glory days of 5BB/100 are not distant past yet

Well I ended up signing up at Prima - I really like the interface and the mini tables function (PO doesn't work with mini tables at ongame) but I'm quite disappointed with the player base.I couldnt get a game at 3/6 so had to play some 2/4, I also took a look in the sng lobby and there was hardly anything happening.

So
pros: Very good interface
Games weren't too tough

cons: Table selection is awful
It takes about 2 minutes to register for an mtt

looks like I'm gonna be multi-tabling over several networks at a time!

As for the thoughts on Pacific - I have been very tempted to go back there but in all honesty, it's the one poker site that I dont really fully trust to be 100% fair. The fact they rake uncalled bets (or atleast they used to) says it all for me really.

Change yr neteller account to USD dude. Then you only pay the exchange fees when you cashout, not when you move money between sites.

It's also probably worth getting an empire account at some point. They've been dishing out raked hand bonuses again recently and if you keep the account empty they sometimes give you a few dollars to donk off.

wait, how are 90% of players seeing a flop in a 5/10 game and the avg pot is barely 5 Big Bets?

Kudos for the attention to detail, I'm guessing the table had been HU or 3-handed for a while and had just filled up?

Anyway, I'll be back up to 5/10 by the end of the night if the games stay this soft

prima 5/10 used to be good to me, but themain reason i played was for the rakeback (i had like 60% dealt)
The resg are quite good, but you do get a lot of randoms sitting and donating, seat selection is key which is why i wouldnt use it as my primary site as if you get in the wrong seat you will just chip dump.
Pokerroom may suck, but the games are just sick good (i played last night) and to be honest if you find a good rb deal and play 3-4 tabl;es i think youll make a bomb anyway.

Limit is pretty dead so it is said these days, so you need to stick to the best games, and forget about quantity IMO, especially as outside the US we have access to some good games.

Yea, games are good. Only ...
1) Not much traffic at 2/4 and up (but usually you'll be able to find 3 OK tables running)
2) No RB, bonuses ...
3) Since Pacific upgraded their software HandGrabber doesn't work anymore, so no HHs, PT, stats, graphs - nothing.

But the games are gooood

I now have about 1k on each of the following:

TowerPoker (ongame)
Purple Lounge (Prima)
Pacific

I think I'm gonna have to withdraw from Purple lounge, I have never seen a site with such low traffic before. There hasnt been a single 4/8 game running since I registered, 3/6 games are rare and theres only limited action at even lower stakes.

It's a real shame because I think it is the best site of of the 3 by a long shot in terms of ease of use, features etc etc but I'm still having difficulty finding enough games to 4-table even with all 3 site open at once.
