I've found a couple of 35% rakeback deals for Carbon Poker as well as a sign up/first dep bonus for 100% up to $1000 from different affiliate. Dumb question: Do I have to pick my poison here? I'm assuming I wont be able to get the rakeback and also the dep bonus?

Also, it seems like Carbon offers a $600 dep bonus. So does that mean at the very least I can get the rakeback plus Carbons bonus?

Raketherake is saying carbon has a 200% up to $2000 bonus. Reviews are implying that it's not easy getting your money out tho.

Any carbon players that can confirm/deny this?

*edit* Should have said that people have had problems cashing out on the merge network as a whole, not nessicarily carbons fault. Software's supposed to be pretty good too.

You get rakeback and bonus at the same time. However, you earn VIPs at a discounted rate. eg. if you have 35% rakeback, you get 6.5 VIP points (35% less) per 10 you'd earn if you didn't have a rakeback account. RB+bonus still outweighs bonus alone by a wide margin.

In my experience Merge network cashouts can be a bit slow. Had a bank wire a few months ago take 2.5 weeks to get processed and into my bank account.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

Is there a way to calculate how many VIP points (not cash, just points) you earn on Merge based on what stakes you play & the number of hands? I'm basically trying to figure out about how my points will accumulate for X amount of hands.

So at $10NL, how many points would playing, say, 1000 hands get you? According to Carbon it's "10 VIP points for every $1 of rake contributed to the raked pot" and fractional points are awarded too. But apparently if you have a rakeback it's 6.5 point, not 10. There must be a formula for how to figure this out, but perhaps I'm an idiot and not seeing how to make one.

Btw, I'm not trying to figure out cash from my 35% rakeback -- just the points.

Not sure how else to word it. Each $1 worth of rake you personally contribute (either in tournament fees or cash game rake) gets you 10 VIP points, or 6.5 points if you also have 35% rakeback.

eg. If you put $2 into a pot and then fold. Pot grows to $20 that hand and is raked $1. You put in 10% of that pot, so 10 cents of that $1 raked was "your contribution". You'd then receive 0.65 points (assuming you have a 35% rakeback account) at the conclusion of that hand.
