Let's say I'm playing at Absolute Poker and I finish playing there and uninstall thier software. At a later date I want to play there again and I install the software again.
My question is, how is my information (login name and saved password) still there after I uninstalled it? I guess it's saved on my computer somewhere, but where? Anyone know?

registry. You never delete info in there when you use the uninstall option.

If you don't know what the registry is, you probably shouldn't be deleting stuff in there. You could seriously hose yourself with an errant click or two.

The usual standard for a "clean install" of poker software is to use a different computer for the signup portion, or to wipe your hard drive with a fresh install of Windows. There has been advice in the old days that allowed a player to identify Party Poker registry entries and delete them from your computer. I'm not aware of any posted help for deleting registry entries for any other sites.
