Makes you wonder how many short stackers are really bots.

I hope that all money ever lost by anyone to these bots is refunded.

good on PTR for taking the initiative and digging up the neccessary evidence, which is clearly undeniable. Pokerstars wont be able get back any withdrawn profits from these bot accounts though will they?
Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups

I guarantee this is like a classic government cover up. Stars knew about this long before these bots were outed, but the rake generated was just too much to pass up. Just another example of why the online game must be legalized and regulated. Of course I don't put a whole lot of trust in whoever would regulate either. What ya gonna do.

note that a few intellipoker guys uncovered a few of these bots back in april. Some 2+2 reg got some more info together and reported 3 bots to stars, then started a thread about it. PTR was able to use baseline data from these first 3 to find another 7 copies of the same bot.

The only reason why these bots were found is because there are so many damn accounts using ye same bot. Possibly got sold and distributed to a small set of people. There's no doubt there are a ton of bots in the mid stakes that even the sites that claim outwardly to care about it will never be able to detect.

The more accounts playing the better as far as most parties are concerned.

they were mediocre 200NL pushbots (barely winning ->BE), but a bit better than the average low stake bot of said type.

I checked my PT & I played with all but two of these bots.

I hope they won manies from me that stars will give me!

Q. How much money did these bots win and how much did you confiscate?

A. All 12 bots cashed out a combined $223,150. Of this, $74,439 was profit from ring game play, $6,305 was from VIP Freeroll tournament winnings, and $142,406 was from various bonuses such VIP Stellar Rewards Milestones and VIP Store purchased bonuses. We confiscated $2084 in cash and $4446 in unspent FPP value from the group.
