I'm a total blindass and never noticed that PS changed their rake. I'm not even sure when they implemented the change. If I recall correctly, max rake for 6m games were $2 and FR games $3.

I checked their site explaining rake at:
Poker Rake - How to Calculate Poker Room Rake - Calculating the Rake

No limit and Pot limit rake:
Stakes higher than $0.10/$0.25, up to and including $50.00/$100.00
Number of Players Rake per Pot Max Rake
2 $0.05 for each $1.00 in Pot $0.50
3 $0.05 for each $1.00 in Pot $1.00
4-5 $0.05 for each $1.00 in Pot $2.00
6-10 $0.05 for each $1.00 in Pot $3.00

So it seems rake for 6m and FR games are same now at $3 max? I know at 6m its usually around 5.5 players so you end up paying a little bit "less" rake.

This increase in rake for 6m games Im guessing has come around the sametime the 50BB tables emerged. They lead me to some questions but I'm not sure how to do the math or filter out in HEM to find out the answers.

Just by looking at the numbers, I can already tell 50BB tables under 100NL would be terrible rake wise. You will rarely hit that $60+ pot to receive any rake discount. So at a 50BB 50NL table, wat ptbb/100 would you have to run just to breakeven with the new $3 rake (assuming table is at 6 people at all times and pot does not go over $60)?

Are the 50BB tables even worth it to bumhunt? Which of these are the better of two options (assuming someone is rolled properly and are thinking about their hourly instead of necessarily moving up asap): Playing 100BB 50NL tables or bumhunting 50BB 100NL tables?

I think it sort of fucks you until you reach 400nl+ but this is just sort of a 'feel answer' and I have not crunched the #s
