Post subject: Pokerstars noob needs FPPs

Have hardly played on stars in about 5 years. I'm taking advantage of this month's easy gold/platinum star promo though. Currently I am at about 1,000 FPPs, Gold star (200 VPP away from Platinum).
I was pretty much planning on playing through a little past Platinum to get 1,500 FPPs and enter a satellite to the $1M gtd quarterly freeroll. But looking in the lobby, the only satellites I see to that tourny (which runs next Saturday the 20th) are tomorrow.
Anyone know if there will be more satellites besides the ones tomorrow? If not, are there any SNGs/MTTs I can play to satellite into higher FPP tournies, then un-reg after I win (ldo) to gain those FPPs?

You got it all wrong. FPP and VPP are two different things. And to gain gold/platinum star you must earn certain point of VPPs. No matter how much FPP you win you will never get higher rank, because if you earn FPPs on some tourney you wont earn any VPPs.
So, you actually need to grind VPP, any way you can.

I understand the VPP and FPP difference. The 1500 FPP satty I am talking about requires gold+, which I already am. I am 500 FPP short of this sattelite's buyin. I was asking if there is a way to win more FPP through satellites/etc. After browsing the FPP tourny lobby looks like the answer is no.

Oh I see, you have only 18 hours till satellite starts. Well, even if there are any FPP earning satellites, you are taking quite a big risk with your FPPs put in it.

Yeah the problem with those other FPP sats is that even those that award seats to other FPP point tournies, don't allow unregging. Seems there isn't a way to "win" FPPs, without earning them through rake.
I'd rather have been able to gamble my 1k FPPs into 1500, than try to grind 200 VPPs tonight.
I'll just hope that there's more satellites this upcoming week.

They are running pretty good 2K guarantee and 1K guarantee for 20FPP and 10FPP this week. Its under the VIP tab.
