I get the following message when I try to run PokerStars:
Client Program has failed to initialize
Please contact PokerStars support (support@pokerstars.com)
I emailed PokerStars with my log files and now I'm waiting for them to get back to me. I have given up on the hope of being able to play poker today, sigh.
I did a search on google and none of the 2p2 threads that appear have solutions that actually solved the problem. Has anyone else here seen this before? What did PS Support tell you to do to fix it?

do you have pokerstarsupdate.exe as your startup or did you switch it to pokerstars.exe to protect a mod?
Otherwise, did you try to reinstall?

It's pokerstarsupdate.exe.
I got a reply from Technical Support and they asked me to run Scan Disk, ccleaner, and a bunch of malware/virus scan stuff. They said my computer has a corrupt drive. I did everything they said to do, uninstalled and reinstall, and it still doesn't work.
I'm waiting for another reply. This is super frustrating. FTP loads just fine, which tilts me even more.

I know you've probably already tried this, but:
uninstall all stars files/folders. Go to the stars website. Download it again. Run the exe/install stuff.
