Poker Stars bonuses are hard as hell to clear unless you're playing at higher limits. Playing NL .10/.25 it feels like it's almost impossible.

If you play higher limits it can be done at a decent pace, I've heard.

Its gonna take me about 1500 hands at 100Nl to clear it i think, considering that you have unlimited time, and that i play there anyways i don't think its too bad. Also, your tourney entry fees count towards it, so you might as well get it even if its going to take you a year to clear it. The only restriction is that you can't claim a new bonus if you haven't cleared the old one.

When they say entry fee, they are referring to the +.50 in 5.50 sng's. They do round up, so a $5 SNG will get you 3 FPP's. You need 600 FPP's to clear 120$...so this would be 200 SNG's.

If you lost every single one of these, you would be:

-1100 Entry fees
+120 bonus
----------
-980 bucks

Sorry strung, caught this before your edit.

Long time to clear.

Here's the strategy if you have the money available:
Since the bonuses don't expire, load 'em up and let 'em sit. Take your money back out. Come back to PStars when you are ready to focus on tournaments or have no other bonuses to work on. You can stack up the bonuses and let 'em sit.
I'm a know-it-all.

No, really.

Oh i forgot, you also can't withdraw until you';ve cleared the bonus. Well....you can, but you don't get the bonus

thats wrong bmxicle, you can't withdraw your roll in stars and then redeposit to get the bonus, the wording is something like, 'if you withdraw before earning the deposit bonus you will ne ineligible for the bonus'

i dumped 600 in stars, got the bonus and i'll withdraw it 48 hours after deposit (apparently thats the minimum time between a deposit and cashout)

I got a small bonus when i first joined stars and ended up clearing it about 6 months later, you can't go wrong as they last forever, just don't treat it like a party bonus which will make up for sloppy play.

Pardon if this is a stupid question:

Last Stars bonus I deposited $600 to get the $120 bonus and never withdrew it back out, partly because I wasn't sure I could. I'm nowhere near clearing it yet, but would like to also get this bonus, preferably with the same $600.

Do I need to deposit another $600 and leave the whole $1200 wad in there until I clear both bonuses, or can I take it back out at some point before clearing the bonus? The link is not very clear about it, and I've read differing opinions here as well.

PP bonuses are so much easier.

I think you need to stick another 600 in to get this bonus, then you can withdraw as much as you want 48 hours later, the key line is

"Only your first deposit during the Bonus Period is eligible for the deposit bonus.

If you cash out any amount from your PokerStars account during the Bonus Period, but prior to making a qualifying deposit, you are ineligible for the deposit bonus. "

PRIOR to making a qualifying deposit, it says nothing about time limits or what happens after you make the deposit so just withdraw it

i intended to pull it out immediately after depositing but on the cashout screen it said you couldn't withdraw within 48 hours of a deposit so i didn't even try, i'll get it out tomorrow.

You can pull out money and the bonus will remain until you work it off.
I don't know if you can "turn-around" a withdrawl to redeposit for a bonus, like you can on Party.
I would deposit what you can and then withdraw it all if you wish.
I'm a know-it-all.
