It's not too late to voice your opinion. There is currently another bill to study the potential of legalizing and regulating online gaming in the U.S. that may be voted on early next year.
http://www.businessweek.com/technolo...002_295924.htm
Indeed, Nevada Congressman Jon Porter introduced a bill in May that would study whether online gambling sites, run by U.S. companies, could be effectively regulated. Fahrenkopf believes that bill is likely to be considered early next year. The measure is backed by the casinos and still gathering support. "It is still Congressman Porter's intention to move ahead with this bill," says Trevor Kolego, the congressman's legislative director. "We hope to pass it, if not by the end of this session, then next session."
Show your support for regulation in the States!

I believe most Americans will clearly see the hypocrisy{spam link}and sham the government is, once again, trying to pull over its citizens. When every state but two have casinos and entire cities exist because of legalized gambling, then the average person would have to seriously question the motives of the government.
Naturally, it's all about money. And when it's about money, greed isn't too far behind. Online gambling is a 12 billion dollar business and it is likely that more money is being waged online in one day across the world than the combined total of Vegas in one year. The brick and mortar casinos, and government officials who profit off their campaign contributions, clearly want a piece of the action. They don't stand a chance of closing down online gambling just like they didn't really stand a chance establishing prohibition.
Stop the greed. Stop the madness.

This has nothing to do with communism. I think you must be confusing terms.
Quote:
|
Communism is an ideology which seeks to establish a future classless, stateless social organization, based upon common ownership of the means of production and the absence of any forms of private property.
|
I think you must talking about fascism.
Quote:
|
Fascism is a radical political ideology that combines elements of corporatism, authoritarianism, nationalism, militarism, anti-anarchism, anti-communism and anti-liberalism.

Thank you for the correction sir and I have to add this
My prediction is this "law" will go the way
of Prohibition and many of you will be swept out
of office in the coming elections. "Rightful liberty
is unobstructed action according to our will
within limits drawn around us by the equal rights
of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the
law' because law is often but the tyrant's will,
and always so when it violates the rights of the
individual." -- Thomas Jefferson

I guess I'm confused by the petition and the posts here. On-line poker is not illegal, nor is funding it. What's the big deal and why do we need a petition?

No other truck sports a class-obliterating 500 horsepower and 525 lb.-ft. of torque, topping 160 mph and reaching 60 mph in just over 5 seconds. The Viper V-10's horsepower rating easily surpasses virtually every production sports car in the world.

To let politicians know that we support regulating and legitimizing online gaming and poker, rather than keeping it under legal scrutiny.
