Ok, hypothetically, if I had a laptop for everyone @ my home poker game, what would be the best site to host private, free games and have a conversion for the play money to real money? So that we're all playing online, but in the same room for real money.

I've always wished there was a program where you could create your own play money tourneys. there was a site where you could create hu tourneys for no money..but sigh..i forgot it

First I have to ask, why?

I don't think any online rooms will do this. You're better off with a program like DD poker. It costs real $$, but it also has a really nice tourney manager. IMO, that's the only good use for a laptop in a home game.

Worst idea ever. Set of chips $50 (cheeper than 6 laptops), and way more fun.

Make sure to have 3 stick around to play euchre on yahoo afterwards.

Meh. Laptops are ultra portable, less expensive, and most people have them. I'm thinking that if there were programs or sites out there that would let you manage the game, you could sit down LIVE and play on your laptop.

You wouldn't have to deal with: cards, chips, shuffling, dealing, "who's turn is it to act", "how much can I bet", people combing through the muck pile showing you the two pair they would have made with 48o had they called a 2x raise and 4x re-raise preflop, and you could play 10 times as many hands.

Just an idea. I think it would be cool to try.

Me and my group of mates use the free to download Pokerroom tourny clock and have had no problems. it keeps track of buy-ins, blinds, pay outs and timing etc. It also avoids getting to the latter stages and finding out the drunker table is three levels behind the sober one.

Not sure if you are allowed to post a link but you can find it with google .

Keep in mind I'm not talking about a program to run a tournament. I'm talking about computer software just like the ones you play online @ PokerStars and everyone sits in a circle in front of their laptop instead of chips and cards.

This idea sounds great to someone who just started playing online. I bet your friends would hate it. Just play playmoney cash tables, easy.
