Dear Michael,

Scheduled downtime

As PKR moves closer to launch, we need to take the website and game servers temporarily offline to allow our technicians to move PKR from its current test environment to a full live infrastructure.

The downtime will commence on Monday 17th July at 09:00 BST and will last for most of the day. Please accept our sincere apologies, and we look forward to welcoming you back to PKR as soon as possible.

The move to a live infrastructure represents the beginning of our final stage of testing. During this final stage you'll be able to deposit and withdraw funds while playing on real money tables and tournaments in advance of our full launch later this month.

The PKR Team

I would only play there to mess around. It's going to be so slow (graphics, animations, etc.) that your hands/hour will be rediculously low. Noble Poker had an interface like that (not as graphically rich) but they scrapped it because everyone complained it was too slow.

looks pretty sick... more like a video game. also you will be able to "develop" your character. as an ex-rpg junkie, i'm gonna give it a shot. (though they better be able to multitable)

and my comp is fast

OK i gave the beta a shot, I must say, it is pretty realistic, but the downside of that being that it's about as slow as a live game, and yeah, one table at a time sucks and takes up pretty much the whole screen as well. I don't see it as "the future of online poker" as it seems to be a completely different game. More of a video game, less for efficient multitablers.

PKR is good for one thing only and that is taking a break and playing some gay world game i guess it would be fun to play a 10+1 MTT at night time but who wants to grind on that site with everyone making chicken noises at you......
