non-US players should definitely look into playing Party again.
They've basically copied the stars reward system, but even better.
Right now I'm clearing bonus at about 45% effective rakeback + getting points that i will be able to buy cash bonuses with (or SnG/Tourney tokens at about 15-20% RB equivalent).
as for the players? who knows, probably stars is becoming the softest player pool around just cos of marketing. But all sites are soft at 50nl and below.
They also have a decent first deposit bonus in place again, not sure what the clear rate is - but probably pretty quick.

Cheers Daven; I had a look through their site and it seems that they are updating it again at the end of June and are claiming its 40% rb equivalent; if you hit a high enough level...
http://www.partypoker.com/rewards/enhanced_rewards.html
Does anyone who plays there now know roughly how quickly the points clear at different levels?
Edit: Sorry I'm dumb 10 per 25 raked hands I can do some rough sums

I read something about Party trying to take over Everest, which would make the player pool great and the horrible Everest software go away

If this works out as they say I could see me giving up on iPoker for this. Many more tables during my play times.

RTR just screwed with their bonus scheme on Everest and I've never played on Party. If its not some kind of nitfest I might move.

Hiya,
You may have noticed that we have had to replace the Cash For Points promotion this month!
This was because some other affiliates were complaining (to Everest) that RakeTheRake give away too much money to its players!
Well what can we say? Jealousy is such an ugly word.
Anyway Everest have asked us to cancel the Cash for Points for the time being
We have tried to replace it with something to replicate the promotion and reward our loyal players
So we have introduced a race...........it’s $4,000 and pays 30 places.
The leader board is here
http://www.raketherake.com/rake-race...st-june09.html
We hope (if the other affiliates don't cry too much) to increase this race on a monthly basis.
Best wishes
RTR

I havnt got payment from last month, but April I earnt 7k points by playing 15k hands split pretty evenly between 50nl and 100nl and that earnt me a $100 loyalty bonus payment. I'd need to come top 15 in the race to earn the same. Atm it shows me as 21st and I've been playing a lot, all at 100nl. I think the points are off for me, but then if they are you'd expect them to be off for everyone. At current rate I'd earn $50 from the race playing all 100nl. The bonus scheme wasnt very good to begin with, unless things have been messed up totally they're even worse now.
I think my points are closer to 2.5k this month (shows as 519 atm) so on that chart I'd be looking for more like $250 which would be nice, however like I say if my points are that far off I assume the ones ahead of me are also.

flick me a pm with your e-mail address if you want a refer-a-friend bonus hook-up. No rakeback available via party (as per stars) and it doesn't affect first deposit bonus etc...

Daven, I am interested in Party for sure. Let me know how this month works out for you as far as payments, stakes and hands in relation to rake paid. If party has their shit together I will move there at the start of the month for sure after I finish this couple of races on iPoker. I have an account already for several years and have moved there when nothing is available on other sites since there are many more tables available in my timezone compared to most Euro sites when I play. $50NL at iPoker has about 8-15 tables most nights when I play. (EST) Party is closer to 25 or more. $100NL on iPoker has 3 times the tables and 4 times the fish.
I always leave Party for some easy RB/rake race/bonus becasue their system has always sucked.

I just signed up and deposited. I'm surprised theres not more nit-grinders there than people suggest. Points are earned (from what I can work out) on hands played, not even on rake, so I'm a little surprised theres not a pile of FR nits passing blinds around buying these bonuses, but then maybe the limit of 12 tables cuts that down, and people I've heard from are mainly 6-max.

So what scripts/skins are being used on the new Party software? FPHG still work? Party Planner? I will try them tonight but if I can save myself some time by asking I won't bother downloading and fiddling with them.

New cash/bonuses released now. It really looks like you're better off saving points until you make Palladium, even though that takes 3 months (if you can earn points fast enough). At 9k points over 3 months, need 3k points per month. So at:
50nl -> 20,100 hands per month
100nl -> 12,000 hands per month
200nl -> 7,500 hands per month.
Palladium Elite would of course be cool, but multiply all those amounts by 4.5 for hands per month to qualify (so 30k hands at 200nl some folks could make, a fair while off for me).
At that point you can buy a $1,200 bonus for 10k points which clears at around 24% rakeback, or a $3,000 bonus for 20k points which clears at around 30% rakeback.
The thing that gets me is they clear much faster than you can afford them. So if you spend 10k points on a $1,200 bonus, it only costs 2.5k points to clear it. Then you need to earn another 7.5k points before you can buy another one. I'm not sure if thats factored into the theoretical rakeback % or not?

Wow. Please keep me updated on how this works out guys.. I might shift my roll there and turn Party into my main grindhouse if this comes out as ~25%+ for a SSNL player.

Basically it unlocks store cash/bonuses that arent available for bronze members.
If you go to PartyPoints - Store - Cash & Bonuses, you'll notice a key next to each one. Thats the level you need to be to purchase it. So you're silver now, you can buy either the $50 cash for 1500 points, or the $100 bonus for 1500 points. If you have 4,000 points though, you still cant buy the gold $200 cash or $350 bonus, even though you have enough points to.

Yeah, but thats monthly. I mean if say you'd earnt 900 points for the last 5 months, so were only silver member but had 4k points, you couldnt buy the gold bonus. Thats the only real advantage of the different levels, they unlock store items you otherwise couldnt buy even if you could afford the points.
I think the Palladium and Elite sometimes get special offers, or like parties or such, but I cant see that being much use for me or you, maybe some Euros will.

i think you can get boosted to palladium if you earn 5k points in one month? 9k a quarter.
Once I'm back in NZ and playing heaps I'm thinking about grinding three sites. Maintain supernova at Stars, Iron Man at FT, and palladium at party. Play whichever has the best offers that month.

So if I understand you correctly, if I can play this many hands I can get 24-30% RB equivalent?
Sounds like a reasonable deal, although I can't generate that many points yet!

Those are the hands required to reach Palladium level, and at palladium level you can qualify to purchase bonuses which they say give you that rakeback equivalent.
Bit frustrated today. Yesterday I deposited the rest of my roll onto Party. Sometime overnight I recieved a 25% reload bonus offer code in email up to $250. Maybe I'll try emailing them and see if I can still qualify late .

what are peak hours in EDT speak?
right now it's 01:30 Thursday EDT and there are only a few such tables open.
1x Full Ring - full
4x 6-max - full
2x 6-max - 3-5 players
and quite a few with just one player sitting and waiting...

09:00EDT atm, I only checked 6 max tables.
25/50 - a 4/6 table and a 6/6 with 2 waiting.
10/20 - a 2/6 table and a 6/6 with 3 waiting.
5/10 - 2 5/6 tables and 3 6/6 tables 5 waiting on 1 and 2 on another.
3/6 - 2 6/6 tables with 3 and 1 waiting.
They all have at least one 1/6 table as well.

Maybe more importantly, there are several tables of 200NL and up with more than 20% of the players seeing a flop, including one 6-max 1000NL table running at 47%!

Hi there,
Just wondering if I can confirm the way points are calculated.
I've checked my HEM for the time I've been playing, and I've played 4329
hand of 0.25/0.5 NL and 6709 hands of 0.5/1.00 NL. So based on the
charts you have that should be:
4329/67 = 64
6709/40 = 167
(64 + 167) * 10 = 2310 points.
My account only shows 1,295 points though. Am I missing something in how
the points are calculated?
Thanks
Ben

Dear Benjamin,
Thank you for contacting Customer Service.
I checked our records and those confirm you currently have a total of 1,295.84 Party Points, which is actually a job well done!
Please note, a possible reason for this misunderstanding might be that not every hand you have played is a raked one. It is clearly stated in our "How to earn" tab that the number of hands required for earning 10 Party Points is actually the number of raked hands necessary:
https://secure.partyaccount.com/pc/p..._earnpoints.do
A raked hand is a hand that a) a player participates in (dealt cards) and b) has generated at least $0.01 in rake for that player. Generated rake is calculated by dividing the total rake collected in that hand by the number of players who were dealt cards. Here is a link you might want to refer to in case of any doubt:
http://www.partypoker.com/how_to_pla...structure.html
|
Now from that page, for NL games, rake is calculated at: $0.01 per $0.20
I'm guessing what happens is $1 pot when folded to the BB is $0.05 rake, so those arent counted. The 50nl hands would have been worse.
I'm not sure that accounts for it all. I've only earnt about 60% of the points I'd have expected. That changes things a lot in the hands required for the bonuses I posted above.

remember, no flop no drop.
Meaning that when folded to the bb no rake is taken.

Really? So even a CO or BTN steal, or a 3bet wont get raked if it doesnt see a flop? I guess we need an average number of hands that saw flop then.
This month I have approx 16k hands played and of those 9k have seen the flop, so about 56%. That means nearly doubling the hands played from what I had above

this is a good thing, trust me. And the same on all major sites.
re hand requirements, this month on party i played:
100nl - 12k
50nl - 26k
25nl - 2.5k
for 3.5k points. I'll do the palladium thing when i feel like it

Lol, I played 17k hands total, and I think thats 3k more than my previous high mark. I'll need 200nl to go well to make Palladium I think, and the bonus below that suck in comparision, so lets hope it does!
I agree not being raked on those hands is actually better than being raked and earning points, its just disappointing that my estimated hands required were so far off as a result.
