I signed up to Pacific Poker through the FTR link. Does anybody know if there is a specific referral bonus issued to FTR referrals? It says on the referral page that most give you money for going there from here, but it doesn't identify specifics.

By the way, this is now my favorite room aesthetically. What a great look. I entered the $100 freeroll after signing up and came in 5th out of 1000 (pats own back). I got $5 for my trouble. It's still fun finding the final table in such a large tourney. The Chip leader when I left had 485,000 chips which blows my mind considering you start out with 1000. I busted out on a small blind bluff steal attempt against the second shortest stack beside me. He called me all in with 6-10os in hand. I guess my table image had taken a dive hugh? Muhaha
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

I've been playing at Pacific Poker as well. I love the look and the games are soft. I just wish they'd allow multi-tabling.

Worst site you've ever seen? I'm not following you.

Do you mean from a technical standpoint? If you mean visually then your not looking at the same site I'm looking at. It's stunning and inviting. That's coming from a graphic artist of 10 years.

It perfectly walks the fine line between engaging interface and overkill IMHO (I don't need 3d animated characters).

I know you've had problems cashing out there Dylan. Is this what you mean by worst?

I just find it hard to believe your talking about the same site. There seems to be a no download version. Did you use that one?

Worst room?

Here's what bad --
  • Hinky connections
Painfully slow animation -- fewer hands
    No multi-table
Poor Lobby interface -- almont no filtering, no buddy finder, nada
Access to information extremely limited during play
Hideously slow pay-out, 7 days or more
48 to 72 hour email support
    Merely 800 chips in STT's
Freakish High Rake -- they rake your uncalled bets!
Weird bonus clearing -- based on amount wagered rather than raked hands
    No available rakebake programs
You cannot choose your own password (or any other options except sound on/off)
No PokerTracker support or other statistical info
Here's what's great --
  • Soft tables
Fair selection of limits and buy-ins
A "full" download version that is 80% more solid than the java or front page dl -- you have to ask support (or message me and I'll look it up and post it)
    Decent phone support
Generous bonuses that you can play with immediately, withdrawing your real bankroll and playing with their money -- 0 risk.
Like Rondavu said, it is pretty enough for poker
I've been playing with $225 of their bonus money over the last couple weeks, risking none of my own money, and have increased my get-out-of-Pacific bankroll by a similar amount. I shouldn't complain.

But I've also been disconnected during two AQs, AA, a full house flop, and at least a dozen other reasonably profitable hands.

I have mixed feeling about this site. While I am up financially and enjoy the extra wins, I'll likely be gone once the bonuses are cleared and I'm playing with just my own money.

Has anyone received a Pacific reload offer?? Is it a regular offering?

Pacific is not perfect to be sure. But the bottom line is its easy to win there. The bad beats there get frustrating a lot of times they just keep drawing and wont fold and hit the miracle card on the river. But if you dont let it get to you even an average player can do very well there. I have played in sit and gos there and seen 3 or more players go all in first hand. they have an $8 2 table sit and go there that pays 5 spots easy to get in top 5 just by being conservative

Right you are sir. These are awesome tournaments that are very easy to win. I've finished at least 4th every time I've played one, which is $24 prize or almost three times your buy in. 5th place is almost irrelevant. You win $12, or 2 dollars over your buy in for an hour long tourney. Make sure you finish 4th or better.

I haven't tried to cash out yet, but I never deposited and have over $200 in there. I hope I don't have to deposit first to cash out. That would be lame.

Does anybody know if they have these two table SnG's for $20 or $30? How many chips do you get and how fast do the blinds go up? Are they 9 or 10 person tables.?

Thanks in advance for any info.
Thanks,
BreakfastMan

10 person/table
10 minutes per blind, I think? It has a countdown clock, too, which is nice. They have "fast" too.
Yes, they have a $30 sng with 2 tables.
I haven't played the $30, but it probably is the same 800 chips.

we really must not be talking about the same site....i could care less about avatars and 3d characters (im currently playing on interpoker, and love it) but pacifics interface was really dull and hard to follow. The software is junk, i played on the site for about a week and got disconnected in the middle of hands 12 times. Ive never had this problem once on any other site. Yeah, the competition was weak, and i made some money there but thats not enough to put up with all the other problems i ran into

$8 20man actually pays $8 for 5th, so you lose a 80c rake.

the $16 and $30 20mans give you 1000 chips and 10 mins blinds, but only payout top 3.

I'm starting to see the light in terms of how truly crappy this site is. I keep getting disconnected in the middle of hands. So much so that I always use up my allotted disconnect all-ins, and then start losing all the money I have in the middle each time it happens. That can be a lot at a 2/4 table on the river card.

I still love it there, as it is so easy to win money. You do get sucked out a lot, like I lost one 60 dollar pot with QQ against J5o. He hit is 5 on the flop and refused to fold before hitting his J on the river. Spanked me with 2 pair. Oh well, I laughed it up with him about it. That's what makes it fun.
