I was having a discussion with my buddy this morning about the randomness of online poker. He says alot of the times he can tell what cards are going to be coming after the flop.
He says that it cannot be truly random because the randomness has to have a starting point which these programmers decide.
He also says they program it a certain way to get more action out of the players by having the Ace hit the board more often then it should. Adjust the settings I guess you'd say.
Not sure how much validity there is to these statements. Hoping someone can shed some light on this subject.

Its made truly random, by using a truly random number to generate the randomness.

Whilst technically possible this kind of 'adjusting' would very quickly be picked up by players and sites with their analysis tools, which would spell death for a poker site hence not be worth the risk.

What he means is he sometimes guesses whats going to come after the flop and he conveniently ignores all the other times he guesses wrong.
Just playing to improve.
