People are always saying that online poker is rigged and others are always arguing that it isnt. Well out of curiosity, I have decided to start a poll. Whats your opinion?

I sincerely believe it isn't rigged.

HOWEVER.

I have hit two royal flushes and two straight flushes in my short 82k hand career.

If I would have seen ever flop, turn, and river in ever hand I played, I would have had two more royals and 7 more straight flushes.

These numbers are far more frequent than I have read in books. I have heard that you are only entitled to like .45 royal flushes in a 100k hands.

Thats all I am saying.

I think you should see a royal once every 60,000 or so hands - I worked it out a while ago and it was a high five-figure number, c an't remember exactly which.

Miffed22001 is on a distinguished road
its not rigged

however i find it increasingly interesting that stars has some of the biggest clashes badbeats, more so than ANY other site.
C'mon we have all seen this. Still doesnt make it rigged however.
Also, pokerroom has some of the most horrible beats ive witnessed but again id say thats because the players suck THAT bad not because the site is rigged.

If you have some losing sessions then it must be rigged.

When you say rigged, do you mean the house manipulates the cards to push bigger pots? I don' t think this is happening. However, there have been some very solid reports of a couple of the much smaller poker rooms filling their tables with bots. It is theoretically possible for these bots to be able to share card information with each other (collusion). This happens without bots BTW.

The solution is easy in this case - play somewhere else.

So, I'm voting not rigged with the above caveat.

some very small pokerrooms can be rigged (or even just straight up steal your money when you deposit). The big, or even medium sights arent though.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

bigspenda73: But how much did you win?

Do you have anything to support that statement?
