I logged in to party today and saw a beta shootout tourney running. I think the basic gist is you stay at your table until it is down to 1. I don't know what they do then but i'm going to watch a bit and find out.

I think i've got that wrong. It says round 1 of 4, so they must rearrange at a certain point. Does anyone know how the shootout structure works?

maybe its like a turbo and you get points for knocking people out..that would be cool.

I'm watching one now. But I can't seem to figure out the payouts.

There's one that started with 738 ppl, but apparently it only goes to round 4, so first place that makes it through all of that only gets $185?

I thought that they'd just keep making rounds until there was a final table.

But with shootouts, the payout dramatically decreases near the top.

you get paid if you finish 1st 2nd or 3rd each round and then in the final round it reverts to a MTT, the link explains all.

But so much of the prize pool is gone...I dunno. I think I might try one. It'd be worth a shot.
