I had mixed feelings about the change over. But I am sort of getting used to it. How is it treating all of you?

The games have gotten less loose. THat's what I'll say. They've gotten slightly harder, but the potential payoffs are now also much bigger because fo the higher buy in limits.

So to give a simple explanation, I've done about the same. :P

I've had to fold more (post flop) and ramp up the flop aggression to get pots to a tasty size.

I have tightened up a bit and put less value on overcards. I have called a lot more raises with hands that have a lot of potential to improve postflop. I have been doing better with the new blind structure.

they changed the max buyin for NL/PL ring games to 100x the BB, by lowering the big blinds.

It makes their bonus really cheap to whore, even when i was 3 buyins down i was still up due to the bonus. Each hand is effectively 20c of bonus and the BB is only 25c, +EV!

I have come to conclude after much deliberation that this is the worst thing that has ever happened to party poker - People slowly got tighter and tighter and now it seems like 9 out of 10 people are tight. Its like squeezin blood from a turnip half the time.

Yep...

and to reanswer the original post, I am now doing EXTREMELY badly. I have lost $1600 in the last week alone, which is a little bit under 1/3 of my bankroll. Poker is now officially on hold...indefinitely....holy crap.....

Man that sucks - i cant believe i thought this shit would be good. My friend on the 25s says raked are down to about 50% when just like a month ago before they change they were at like 70% and 100s were at 85-90% in the beginning and now who knows what they are. I loved the days when I could clear a 1000 hand bonus in like 5 hours changing tables a couple times and now i have to change tables 15 times before I get to 200. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhh Thank god i aint losing money though. As soon as my friend moves back in 3 weeks hopefully we will just live at our casinos poker room and kill everyone. This online shit is getting close to work.

The 25s are definitely tighter than stars 25, people on stars are similar preflop but they are so much more passive post flop it is a much easier game, they just call along and only raise with the goods

Dnuts, was that first hand you posted a joke? you're the fish for going all in with 9To against KK

I just got on the Party skins about two or three weeks ago. I wish I'd seen it back in the glory days, because I'm loving it right now. Compared to PS $25NL, this is heaven, and I can't imagine something better than this.
I'm a know-it-all.

I thought I would like the change, and went back and deposited 5 bills into Party......So I am loaded up with all my trackers, scanners, calculators, etc...

Then I find the perfect tables full of Fish. Guys who call 65%-80% of all pots at a full table. I know instantly who the 1 shark is only playing 16% of pots, and winning 85% of his showdowns... wow, stay away..

Well, even with all my statistical math crap, I kept losing. I have had the worst week ever at Party, and all these stats on "Joe Blow's" last 2000 hands only crippled my style.

After losing for a straight week, I turned off all the cheat tools and played with the good ol noggin. Bam, won a 53 player tourny...

I love Party, and I love the fact that you can know so much intimate details of others, but geez, I just keep losing. I know I will continue to play there, especially because I make affiliate cash there, (and I love the fish), but it's been one rugged week....

Not true BoondockSaint...and I can prove it. Although I won't do it publicly in the forum...

If you don't already know how to spot the tighties, maniacs, and the call stations at Party with Precision, send me a private message..

You might know what I am talking about, then again you might not..
If you don't know, then you are missing out big time, and it is probably only a matter of time before most people here learn this...

Smells like snake oil. When you come to fish a new pond, you shouln't keep reeling in the bait to see if you got something. You really shouldn't come in here your first day and post some solve-all tease for a product in more than one spot. It is soliciting, and I would guess it is just a matter of time before ...

The dude got back to me and he actually is basically cool and gave me some good info. He just happened to be on low post count when this came up. Give the guy a second chance though and he wont be posting stuff like this anymore. He seriously was just trying to help people out and the info he gave me he doesnt get 1 dime for so it had nothing to do with personal interest it just had to do with helping people with what he thought to be half way secret information and not having the whole world get it.

Yeah it's not super secret stuff, (especailly Poker Prophecy) but it is rather obscure. I would say less than .05 % of Party Poka players use the Poker Edge.. One of the biggest reasons to have it is that other Poker Edge owners can't peep your stats.

Clue, if you didn't know already.. Don't give out your player name to anyone. Also I don't think you should use duplicate names at other sites as well. If you do, you might have some STat punk like me tracking the hell out of you..

I have not seen anyone in FTR talking about it, and was just trying to let a few priviledge people know.

My guess is, people are going to stoked....

Your welcome.

Wish I had some Gorilla crap to throw at G-Rilla.....you need to chill.. although I assume you edit the shit out of this post as well.

PS. With Poker Edge, The "Post Flop Aggresson" meter is insanely helpful if you play large stakes "Limit"...

When your playing Party, it is stupid to not have this info if your bank roll can justify it..

{Still not editing!}

You left out the Texas Calculatem.

I know there are others out there like this, but the Calculatem is a phenomenal tool. After using it for a month or so, you really don't need it anymore as almost all your poker odds will be imbedded into your brain.

Calculatem made my live play so much stronger. When I head out to the casinos it is amazing how many stats are retained in my long term memory bank..

I am an affiliate for this product too, but of course, yeah, I know the deal.

Get yours str8 from http://www.calculatem.com

No affiliate link, no cloaked link, just another gift.

While sure these are not entirely obscure, it is quite obvious many at FTR are not implementing these tools as I think many would agree are kick ass.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Rilla for being so awesome.

{Alright, maybe this one just a little}

Yeah, I know. I would hope that he has a good enough sense of humor to be able to sling mud (or crap) and make up too.

I understand blasting the new guy, and I know ya'll hate the salesmen..

Besides, shit talking is fun......I don't take it too seriously. Then again, having the power to change a guys words really puts me at a disadvantage hey?

Can't we just throw Gorillo doo, and have fun....? I hope so..

{Hope.}

Well if Boon and Xianti are okay, then welcome. Although I think any talk of the items you're talking about belong in their appropriate forum. So if you want to heap praises on the products you use. Then post about them in the tools of poker section.

I'm glad you can take a little heat. We mods pounce quite fast at anything that even sniffs of solicitation. So forgive our diligence.

yeah right on. I figured this belonged in here because it pertains only to Party, Empire, etc.... but yeah "Poker Tools" is the spot.

I kinda wish I had just not said anything, but o well, have at it and have fun.

Bump and grind.

I thought I recognized the name Curtis-E and I was just thinking... wasn't he a spammer? So, I looked back.

I have spam modes set for kill. If you have next to no posts and even think about naming a product or linkin a website, I'm going to make your post look like you enjoy hitting little retarded boys with phallic objects.

That's just how I roll. I don't think offical word has been made on weither or not you were spamming, but you have contributed since this event. So I'll let it slide.

I know of atleast one "spammer" that turned out to be a huge asset to the boards.

-'rilla

Smithers, use the amnesia ray.
You mean the revolver, sir?
Precisely.

yeah i sell a ton of stuff, but i try to keep it chill on the boards.

I understand about letting FTR get the affiliate clicks.

Sometimes, I think it is just habit to sound like a salesman, even when I am just trying to help someone out for free.

FTR is about helping each other out (for free). We're not here to keep secrets, sell stuff, or make money off each other. We all benefit from the open discussion and information. Ask honest questions, and expect honest opinions, advice and information.

If you didn't want your information to get out there to too many people, perhaps you don't 'get' FTR.

All that said, I'm glad they let you back on. I'm sure you will add something to the forum.
