What this basically means is that anytime you hit a straight flush on Party (unless you are unlucky enough to hit it at the exact same time as someone else and your hand began after theirs) you will get paid $700.

This is better than other places since it does not have to be a Royal Flush. Although since it is evidentally still in "beta" they may up the requirement to a Royal Flush after the beta period is over.

Does not appear that there are any NL tables that qualify for this though. Bummer. Can someone who has Party open verify this as I am at work right now?

Also, there is no additional rake at these tables. So, if you are playing limit there is no reason not to play there. Again, that may change after the beta period.

What does this do to Pot Odds?
Does it throw them out the window now if you say have a gutshot straight flush draw?
Knowing that if you hit it you will be paid off $700 plus what ever you may get off your opponents?

This means you play your exact same game and let you opponents pay you off while they chase it. You'll probably end up wasting a lot more money by throwing away BB trying to hit it than you will make when you actually do.

Well, it's simple. You hit it 1/46 times on the river. so if you have to pay LESS then, say 700/45 to see the river card, then you pay to see it

DaNutsInYoEye, please at least think through your responces

I played a 2/4 table there yesterday for about 1 1/2 hours. I didn't notice much difference in the play. Obviously there were a few people playing suited connectors a little more than normal. However, overall, I didn't notice a whole lot of difference.

In truth, this now just brings Party up to par with just about every other site that offers a Royal Flush bonus. Right now it's a little better becuase all you have to do to win it is get ANY straight flush. But, I can GUARANTEE you that once this gets out of beta, or very shortly thereafter, this will turn into nothing more than a Royal Flush bonus which just about every other site has.

This will then make Party a little worse than other sites offering a Royal Flush bonus if they continue to have it apply to only a select group of tables. Because all other sites that have a Royal Flush bonus have it apply to every table on their site.

No big surprise there. It'll be a Royal Flush bonus in a matter of days.
