Finally found some info on it today, here you go.
New to poker? Now you can hone your poker skills on our 'Beginners' tables.
Please note:
* 'Beginners' live game tables are reserved for new real money players only.
* New real money players can play on these tables for 45 days after they have set up a real money account
Games and stakes offered for beginners:
* Game: Texas Hold'em
* Limits: $.5/$1, $1/$2, $2/$4 and $3/$6
When you are logged into your PartyPoker.com account, just go to the main lobby.
Click on the 'Real Money' heading and then select 'Beginners'. The large window in the center of the lobby will display the tables. You can then choose a table and start playing!
That leads me to believe that there could be some crazy fishy games there.

An interesting thing to note, is that if you don't deposit for a couple months and then go back you're elegible for the beginners tables.

It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

no, seems to be Party only. Interesting move, and as I don't play Party often, guess I'll be getting those beginners tables quite often too

to be honest, the play at the .5/1 and 1/2 can't be too much different from the beginner tables to the real ones.
I'd imagine a big chunk of the "beginners" are coming from watching poker on tv, or knowing the basic concepts of poker hands, which is where a lot of people at the tables are anyways.
