OK. So I play in a little tournament. $2.20 +$.20 satellite into the $1K guaranteed tournament.

I won. Hooray, right? Well, the main even was starting about 20 min from the time I won. But I had other plans, and didn't want to play, so I un-registered. That's fine. I have done it before. Poker Stars (for example) will just credit the money into a "tournament dollars" account. You can use the money to register for any tournament. but you cannot withdraw it. But this entry did not go into my "tourny bucks" account. They did not show up in my real money account. So I hopped onto live chat with support.

She gave me a big run-around, and she was very nice when telling me that I could re-register and pay the entry out of my account. But when I suggested that maybe I'd like to use the win that I had already recieved, she generally eluded that it would not happen.

I got so mad at the end that I closed it when I meant to copy, paste and save it. But I did get this one section from there.

you: Is there any chance that this $22 that I won from tournament "Sattllite to $1000 guaranteed mon 7" will ever be accounted for again?
Allison: you got and entry
Allison: not cash
you: and I lost that entry when I unregistered. And now it's just too bad. Is that right?

She never said, "Your outta luck, Buster." But that's the message she sent.

So now I have to get all my money out of Poker World. Thank god I'm still playing on profit. And beause I won most of it from an underfunded guaranteed tournament, it is actually Poker World's money I am playing with. Damn, that didn't make me feel any better.
I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

Not only that, but if you don't play 100 raked hands after your initial deposit, they will charge you for the transfer fee ($15).

I deposited there, could almost never find a decent game, and withdrew after about 10 hands. They deducted the $15 from my account and only told me after the fact. No warning anywhere.

That's what you get for cavorting with a skanky poker room that FTR isn't affiliated with. Filthy tramp.

OK, so Poker world took care of the problem.

According to the main guy, Lee something-or-other, Their policy is to give tournament bucks when a player cannot enter a tournament he has won through a satellite. Standard. However, the lady I talked to at support didn't know this.

He had the money credited to me in tourney bucks and with a lot more hastle, I did sign up for tonights 1K guaranteed.

Seems they are a lot like your local Blockbuster. The staff is rude and will not do a single thing for you. but if you follow the ladder up, you get very nice people willing to help.

However, last I checked, I have a registration into the 1K guaranteed, and tournament bucks still in my account. I don't know if their apology or their oversight. But I don't want it. I was never out for more than I deserved and I will not accept this money. Is that strange?

I am a strong believer in Karma when it comes to things like this, so yeah, I'd contact the big guy again (if you can) and bring it to his attention. If it was done intentionally to satisfy a customer I'd be happy to take it, but if it was a screw up I don't want to profit from it because I fully believe my luck will suffer for it.
I built my own poker table... Check It Out
