Ok, this is a bit of a strange question, but I've seen many players on pokerstars use this same image, and I'm wondering what the meaning behind it is.
It cant be a coincidence that so many players use this same image, so there has to be a meaning behind, which means it gives information about the player, which i might be able to use at the table. I've tried just asking the players but I got no response.

This is the image:

Any ideas?

For the first time.

when you pick your image on pokerstars people click the browse tool and the default place ot look for pictures is in your My documents/my images/ part and when they click on the first one it is the wall paper of the sun set, or the blue winter trees.

They dont know they have other pic's on there computer so they just use that.

So that should tell you something about them. They are either too lazy or too dumb to find a real pic. Even if they used this default one the first time they signed up, you would think they change it at some point.

It means they have no imagination. That or its the sign of some secret underground betting ring.

Also watch for people with no pic, they think they're kinda a big deal and want to remain hard to remember.

Oh and a big close up of an eye is a sure fire way to freak out the opposition, and as a bonus no one else has ever thought of it.

Alternativly try a picture of a baby/cute animal and people will feel to much sympathy to beat you.

Or why not a pic of a poker-pro, I bet people will think you ARE them and give you mad respect!!!!

Wow, this should be in the psychology section now.

I also heard that lots of red causes opponents to fold more often/respect your raises, as red is the natural color of aggression.

my dog with clown wig get's rave reviews.

and anyone with a pro's picture gets NO respect.
Been playing money poker for 34 years and decided in 2002 to try that TX Holdem game on TV. Then found Pokerstars in Summer 2005. Still not an overall winner but i am on a good trend and nearly there.

Bangor Wales or Bangor NI, Seasider?

(not that I am familar with either, being a cockney* born and bred)

*well, cockney's stretching it a bit - private school posh boy who's always lived in London may be more accurate
