Does the software just not work when you have Party Poker on your computer?
It crashes whenever I start it, and I have tried reinstalling it.
Also River Belle is screwing up and giving me this error message when I try to establish my alias.

Of course we care, bro. I just figured the only one who could help you would be Riverbelle CS.
But, OK, I'll give my 2cents.
I had a similar problem at CON after replacing the harddrive on my computer. What fixed MY problem was uninstalling and reinstalling all my anti-virus/anti-spam/firewall softwares.
That'd be worth a shot.

If your on a college campus or at a business your connection may have certain ports firewalled. Otherwise your Router or firewall is most likely blocking the ports multipoker and river belle needs. I personally don't use a software firewall because they're a waste (I'm a CS major I know) and I have the ports forwarded on my router for the programs so I know University has the ports I need for Multipoker firewalled.

Firewall is there to prevent unwanted things from getting onto your hardrive. So it's a likely source of trouble when problems occur while trying to install a new software. If turning all firewalls off during the DL didn't do the trick, and emailing CS didn't get a response, then screw 'em! There are other sites and other bonuses to keep you busy fo sho.
