I've got this friend who used to have two or three real money accounts for PartyPoker and he wants to get back into the game.... Should I tell him not to go to PP so he can avoid the troubles (maybe even a closed account)? What do you think is the worst thing that could happen to him?

Thanks!

Party Poker hires assassins to kill him and his whole family and all his friends including you.

On a more serious note I think the worst that would happen is they wouldnt let him collect his bonus. I highly doubt they would take any of his actual money.

I dunno... It says that they'll close his account or whatever on the PP website.

Players are only allowed one account per player and our system performs many random security checks and other log-file reviews to maintain system integrity and fairness at the tables. Any players found to be participating in collusion or deceptive practices will have their accounts immediately closed.

Or were they talking about cheaters?

Well they care a lot more about cheaters and who cares if they close the account as long as you get your money. Just have em go to empire or something if he is worried about it its all the same.

Actually - this just happened to a pro friend of mine. He got paranoid about his user name being tracked (he's wierd that way) and closed his Party account to change his name (he didn't know that you could just change his name). He started another account (different email address and player name, but everything else the same), and got his bonus money, but like a day later, Party froze his account!

I think it was all resolved to the good though, but they do check...
