I enjoy playing these but I struggle in them. Typically I can just squeek into the money but then don't have enough chips to do any damage. I've played them mostly on party and stars. I only have 1 FT and that was last year. This year my best finish was 16th of about 1500 in the nightly Party 20+2. I am wondering where is a good place to play that have a smaller field like around 300-600 people? How are Pokerroom's tourneys? I am maily a cash game player and would only be playing about 2-3 of these tournies a week. I just need a smaller field. Any suggestions?

I would check out some of the smaller rooms. Stars and Party are the two biggest out there, so it's logical that 5000 people are going to be in every field. Check out the prima rooms, the gaming club and royal vegas. TGC first though...Vegas' interface makes me wish I was blind.

Any other suggestions? I won't play at any prima rooms.

Crypto has a nightly (9 PM EST) 10+1, 4000 GTD that usually only has 270-350 people in it.

I've heard too many stories about people having to jump through hoops to get cashouts and send them personal information. I don't wanna go through that. Sure most people play there fine w/ no problems but I don't wanna chance it. Do you have any experience with PokerRoom?

I sure don't. I don't have an account with pokerroom right now, but I am thinking about signing up with them to score a set of chips as a bonus.

PokerRoom has a nightly 15k guaranteed tournament. Anyone know the average turnout for that one?

I'm leaning toward PokerRoom right now. Does Bodog have tournaments every night?

I hear Pacific has the ugliest software around and I just can't handle that.

Ultimate Bet. They and Stars have some of the best blind structures for MTTs and they also start you off with 1,500 chips in MTTs with buy-ins of less than $100. THey have several MTTs from $5-$30 through out the day and depending on the time, the fields are generally between 200-500 people.

If it weren't for Multi Table Tournaments I would be in severe trouble.
Most of my wins have been big cash ins from MTT's. These wins seem to make up for my eradict cash game play.
If you want small fields, try Golden Palace, or America's Card Room (very low traffic) or World Poker Exchange.
