So, I've only been playing online for about 2 weeks now. I run 3 $25 NL HE tables at a time on Party Poker. I'm up about $1500 over those two weeks. I've never had a losing night. Some of that is good running. I'd like to think that most of it is good play. I've been playing poker in casinos and at home games for a few years, so I'm just new to the online side of the game.
Anyway, my questions is, how much different are the $50 NL HE games on Party than the $25. And how much tougher are the $100's? I'm thinking about upping my limit but am worried about jumping in above my head. Also, what is the recommended bankroll for these games? I can easily afford to up the $$$ in my account, the money isn't a problem. I just hate losing.

I couldnt comment on Party, but on Paradise I moved from $25 (.25BB) to $50 (.50BB) NL. Other than the extra stress no big deal. The play seemed a bit more authentic b/c a 3xBB bet was .75c (couldnt take the money seriously myself) at the $25 table. The play was still competeive though. Fairly normal...
I would suggest having $500 in the account, but if you have cash anyways, it really shouldnt matter. Now on the $50 tables I have been bad beat many times with AA, over pairs, river beats, etc... and lost $50 just like that. Makes my variance and stress go way up. However, I found it to be a good money stream overall and very challenging b/c you need to read opps much more.

The play at the NL50 tables is better than the 25, but not drastically so. If you have made that much in 2 weeks playing 25, you should be able to beat the 50 games fairly easily. The leap from 50 to 100 is about the same as from 25-50; the play is better, but not hugely better. The biggest differences are that the ratio of good players to fish gets higher as you move up in limits. If I were you, I'd initially start playing the 50 tables on Friday and Saturday nights, when they have the softest games, and see how that works out.
