I found this very soon after installing a Prima client. I deleted the client and cleaned my PC of this (took awhile). It returned shortly after installing PokerShare, but not right away. PokerShare is in no way connected to Microgaming correct? Has anyone else noticed this after installing PokerShare? Does anyone care about PokerShare? lol. I'm asking cuz I'm getting a new PC and don't want to start things off with Spy/Malware by installing PokerShare. I'm playing off of the free $10 they've given me and would like to continue playing there.
Wikipedia is the best thing ever. Anyone in the world can write anything they want about any subject. So you know you are getting the best possible information.

PokerShare is a Tain network room. Nothing to do with Microgaming.

Prima is Microgaming. The 'malware' is likely the sneaky piece of software they use to keep people from making multiple accounts under different names. While I don't condone sneaky software, I can certainly understand it when the provider is offering free money, and suspect that it 'spyware' ralated to poker rather than 'malware' related to your whole life. But what do I know?
I'm a know-it-all.

No, really.

The malware label comes from a scum program called DownloadWare, which would silently install various programs on an infected computer. A Microgaming program was one of them, probably by some kind affiliate so excited about sharing the joys of online gaming that it must be shared with you by sneaking it on your computer. Ad-aware and the like finds the Microgaming registry key and automatically assumes your computer is infected with DownloadWare. If it only finds a registry key, you most likely are free of DownloadWare. (Though there could be many other scumwares and methods that install these things.)

I concluded this after four hours of late night research a few months ago. Of course it could be all wrong because I was sober at the time.
