Here's an offer where you a 500 piece chip set free if you open a new account at Pacific Poker. Has anybody done this? If so, what's the quality of the chips?

I'm sure its just an affiliate program, they get a certain percent of your rake, and to get you to sign up through them they offer you something.
It's not to good to be true, these affiliates still make alot of money i'm pretty sure.

This is totally legit. I got my set from PSO when I played my 250 raked hands.
They have no problem sending you the chips. I just noticed a $150 from Pacific in my Neteller the other day. Someone obviously opened an account from my site. Wow $150 for a sign up, now that rocks.
Making $150 per signup makes it easy to give away prizes here and there.

This sounds cool...I need chips and since I relized that personalized ones will cost me about .85-1.00 a chip I figure these will do.
One question about the bonus, is it immediately able to be withdrawn?
