Now that I am gainfully employed, I'm looking into opening an online account. I have somewhat narrowed down my choices to: Party Poker, Poker Stars, and UB.
I really only like to lay SNGs, but I'm getting into MTT. After reading DavSimon's posts, he suggests Poker Stars because of the lower entry fee. PP is known for the fish. And I've read good things about UB, especially the interface.
I'm interested in opinions as I don't have the $$$ to open accounts at all three places.
Thoughts?
Thanks a lot.

How much you willing to start with?
Pokerstars and party's minimum SnG is 5$ UB has lowe I think. Check the Bankroll Management Thread in Holdem Strategies to see what you can handle with the money you are willing to put in.

I'll be moving to where-ever from PP.net. That said, I'll probably play in the lowere buy-in SNGs. So, I'm thinking of starting 100/150 as a deposit.
I checked out sites again, today, and right now I'm leaning towards Poker Stars.
How are the cashout, withdrawls from PP and Poker Stars?
Thanks.

Withdrawals from stars are generally really fast. I've also had really quick turnaround moving funds in and out of party.
Stars for the most part is a poor place to build a bankroll. It's a good place to familiarize yourself with the game, but doesn't offer a lot to help build a roll. No initial deposit bonus, few reload bonuses, and tighter players make stars not the best option to start playing at.
If you are an MTT/SNG player you will find lots of them at stars.

JShore, I have 3 words for you.
Golden-Palace Poker
Nuff Said.
I am sure FTR has a link for them somewhere. You will not be dissapointed.
Much better than Stars, Party, or UB.

GD is exactly right. Although I increased my bankroll 6x on Pokerstars playing low limit SNG's, it's tough and definitely takes time (over a year in my case). There are more tight, solid players on Stars than on most other sites.
Due to a recent string of bad luck (combined with poor play), I just moved to UB last night. I was able to get a Neteller withdrawl from Pokerstars within hours. Checks take about a week or so. Good luck.

For an SnG/MTT player, there is no better place than Stars.

Why?
Easy money? Number of games? Low rake?

I think the general consensus is that Stars is good for tourny play because of the frequency of play, the 1500 chip format (which reduces the luck effect), and the rake is within reason. And if you are lookin for the big payouts, the MTT's get Big enrollment.
On PStars, most tourny rake is 10% or less, the rake drops from 10% on the high end and Turbos, and there are rakeless $1 & $2 MTT's.
I don't think anyone will tell you the money is easy on Stars (unless they are bragging.)

Or they are lying..
Poker Stars is a great site, with many options, but if you are looking to step up to the higher limits and make a run at it, there are plenty easier places to do so.
Good Luck

I'm swimming against the tide here (not unusual) but I think Ultimate Bet is a good place to start out whatever game you want to play. LOTS of low level games in all areas, limit, no limit, sng's and mtts ($1 sng's and mtt's and some realy nice freerolls).
My reasoning goes something like this. All of us, when we start anything new, have a tendancey to do a little "monkey see, monkey do". UB is known to have, in comparison to other sites, some pretty good players, even at the lowest levels. So you see better play there and have less chance of falling into the same bad habits you plan on taking advantage of later.
Another "up" for UB is the interface. It's slick and fast. I was playing a freeroll on UB and another on Absolute the other day at the same time. UB averaged 2 or 3 hands for every 1 hand on Absolute. So you get a lot more poker for your buck.
Just my opinion.
