I opened an account there a while back but haven't really played there very often. Nothing special about the site and the games weren't particularly juicy or anything. I think they are a skin of the Prima Network if I'm not mistaken (along with places like The Gaming Club).
Also, I noticed that Xianti had an affiliate link here for them so obviously some of you know about them already.
However, I just received this e-mail from them about a $100,000 free-roll in December and thought I'd let everyone know. I've never seen any free-roll this large before.
"Hi Jim,
*Be part of the World's largest Poker Tournament*
Royal Vegas Poker is proud to present the $100,000 freeroll taking place on December 18th at 8pm EST. All you need to do to take part in this mind-blowing tournament is:
Play a total of 2,500 raked hands between August 1st and December 14th;
or
Play 1,000 raked hands in any of the calendar months from August to November.
Royal Vegas Poker is giving you the upper hand with this great offer: Make your first purchase before the close of Sunday, August 29th, and we'll credit your account with a 40% deposit bonus - up to $40 free.
Don't miss out on these offers and come join us for cutting-edge card room action at its best.
* Offer applies to first purchases at Royal Vegas Poker only
** Terms and conditions apply"

They are a Prima skin. I'll be the first to admit that the interface sucks.
However, the freerolls and their MT Guaranteed prize pool tournaments are amazing. The MTT's generally pay a purse of 1.5-2x the actual pool, so you're getting insane +EV to play, as long as you can tolerate the variance

I used to play on royal vegas a lot but just so you guys know a raked hand you have to actually have money in the pot and the pot has to exceed 3 bucks. It takes a lot lot lot longer than getting raked hands on party or empire. So if you guys plan on making that freeroll plan on playing a lot.

i don't know why so many people dislike the prima poker interface. personally i don't have anything against it, and to me it's just as good as pokerstars.
heck the sweetest thing is the 'minitable' view. with this baby on you can play 4 tables at the same time and SEE THEM ALL at the same time.
personally i go 2 tables at a time cuz any more the action is too fast for me to handle.

I'll give ya that one. the "mini-view" is sweet. I like it better than Ultimate Bet's mini-view because it still looks like a table. As opposed to UB's that is straight across the screen.

Oops, I appreciate the kindness but my screenname there is "blaidan"
If I could trouble you to send them an email to correct that I would truly appreciate it. if it's too much trouble, that's ok. Enjoy the free $10!

I just emailed them with your account name there. You may want to email them also to let them know what's up, and that you know about it.
2 questions:
1. do you have to deposit money to get the 10.00?
2. have you done any cashouts there, and if so, how long have they taken?
I've got several cashouts I'm waiting on from Pacific and they are taking forever. PokerStars gets theirs done the next day.
Thanks

Thanks, I will do that. In answer to your questions:
1) No, you do not have to make a real money deposit to get the $10. It is basically free money. They will give you a 40% deposit bonus on your first deposit though in addition to this free $10 but you are under no obligation to ever make any real money deposit.
2) I have not personally done any cashouts yet at Royal Vegas. So I can't speak to their cashouts specifically. However, I did play at The Gaming Club (part of the Prima Network just like Royal Vegas) when they ran a "Free $15" offer which was the same as this free $10 deal. I did not have any issues with Gaming Club's cashout. It was in my Neteller account in about 24-36 hours. So, since they are both part of the Prmia Network I would expect a similar turnaround time for Royal Vegas.
Hope that info helps.

Is your Royal Vegas screenname the same as your FTR name so I can reference it when I email them?

lhoney2 - Looks like you have to deposit a minimum of $20 and play like 100 raked hands for any referral bonus on my end. No biggie. If you end up making a deposit then, cool. If not, that's cool too. In any event, enjoy the free $10. I know I am!

I am planning on making a deposit of at least that much, so you should get paid.
I am currently waiting for funds from Stars and Pacific to reach my firepay account before I can do it.

Got the 10.00 this morning and am currently playing at Royal Vegas. I LOVE the mini view. Looks like I can easily have 4 games on my 19" monitor at the same time without having them overlap. This is extremely nice, and a feature that the other sites need to take note of.
jmrogers - I will message you when I make the deposit. They have a pretty nice deposit bonus, so i want to wait until I get the funds from Pacific also.
Quick note on Pacific - It has been 6 days since I put the withdrawal request in. They held the funds at Pacific for 4 days, during which time I can do a "reverse cashout". Then it has taken 3 more days of Processing.
The withdrawal I did from Poker Stars took about 12 hours to hit my Firepay acount.
I'm pretty sure Pacific will send the money but they are making me nervous by taking so long. I deposited 29.00 there and was able to turn it into 294.00. Had a real nice run of cards there.

That's not something that I wanted to hear with regard to Pacific Poker. I just deposited $100 there last night. They immediately make your $25 deposit bonus available to you. I think I have to play 250 raked hands or something to be able to withdraw it though.
So, I am hoping to play there a little while then make my withdrawal. Hopefully it won't take 6 days like it has for you. That will piss me off.

As far as I know, that is their standard operating procedure. Pacific really seems kind of shady.
They are hoping that after you choose to cashout you will lose your money, then do a reverse cashout since the money hasn't been sent yet.
Almost too good to be true there:
29.00 buy-in
8.00 - deposit bonus right away
50.00 - bonus for referring a friend of mine
117.00 - 6th/584 in 5.50 NLHE tourney
21.00 - 8th/185 in 5.50 LHE tourney
67.00 - Won in SNG's and ring games
This was all in 3 days time.
Ever since I cashed all of the money out except 50.00 I have not been catching good cards there, hitting my draws etc. I am not implying a cashout "jinx" because I do not believe in that stuff, but it is odd.
I just got an email from Pacific the other day. If I reload my account with 50.00 they will give me a 25.00 bonus. Kind of hard to pass up, if they send my other cash that is.

BTW - just got up from my first playing experience at Royal Vegas. Sat down at a 2.00 max buy-in NLHE 6 person game. Got up an hour later with 15.30. I might like this site. Lot's of fish swimming around that can't wait to give their free 10.00 to you.

Very nice!
I tried going there last night. I fired up the software and it began downloading an upgrade. Well, after the upgrade I couldn't get in. It just froze at the "spalsh" screen and I never got to the lobby. I just ended up playing at another site. I'm hoping a reboot will clear it up. Otherwise, i'm going to have to contact customer service and that's something I never like having to do.

Check out this run jmrogers -
Get 10.00 from Royal Vegas
Turn it into 23.00 at the 2.00 buy-in no limit game
Enter a 1.00 limit MTT #22049 and place 1st/247 for the 149 top prize
Nothing in, $169.00 out (I did a rebuy and an add-on)
Sweet!
I did deposit 100.00, but it doesn't look like I'll be needing it.
My first 1st in a MTT!!!!!! Yay!!!

Very nice! Congrats on that 1st place MTT finish!
I still cannot get into Royal Vegas' software. Just hangs for me. I uninstalled and reinstalled and still had no luck. So, I guess it's time to contact customer service. I got in just fine before I downloaded the update and now it just hangs. Very frustrating.

I put you down as a referral as well, under the name "blaidan".
What's the requirement for clearing their deposit bonus? Is there a time limit? I'm thinking of putting real money in, but am worried I won't have much time to play poker in the next 1-2 months.
I've turned the free $10 into $50 off of a nice string of cards.

It takes 24 hours.
I got the 10.00, deposited 100.00, then withdrew 250. (I won a lot in a MTT) I took everything out except the bonus money, which I am playing on now. I have no idea how long it takes to clear, and don't really care, since their money is all I'm playing on now.
BTW - 7sultans offers the same free 10.00
The 10.00 takes 24 hours to show up in your account.

Hey Dr -
Thanks! I appreciate it! What they tell me is that the referred player must make a minimum deposit of $20 and must play a 100 raked hands (I would assume that that would be 5x the amount you deposit in raked hands).
On a related note for Royal Vegas Poker, I am currently playing on my old laptop. My PC died on my (I think my power supply is bad). Well, the last time I opened up Royal Vegas it began to download it's latest upgrade. It proceeds to finish it's download and then attempts to startup. Now it just hangs at the "Getting Table Details" splash screen and never goes into the lobby.
I e-mailed support and they told me that the update makes extensive use of DirectX 8. Well, my old laptop runs Windows NT 4 (which provides the old girl with the stability she needs) and it does not support DirectX 8.
Looks like I'll be fixing my PC a little sooner than I planned on. Always f'n something.

I will deposit real money into Royal Vegas at some point, I might just want to milk Full Tilt's bonus first since it is just so high right now.
I've decided to go on a bonus whoring rampage.

Actually, I decided to hit RV first. The online help guy said that the max bonus you can receive is 40 bucks (40% of 100 max deposit), and you clear it after 420 hands. So you should get your referral bonus before too long once I get a chance to sit down and play some poker.

Just got an email from royal vegas saying if I deposited and played 100 raked hands that they would give me a free entry into the 100,000 freeroll. Does anyone know if they have the registration to this tournament capped at a certain amount of players. Sounds like a good deal but if I'm playing against like 10,000 people then it's not nearly as sweet. When they had the world series of poker freerolls awhile back I think they capped at 3000 or 5000. Good thing to keep in mind for you already with enough raked hands. If they cap it make sure you get in there right away.
