It's a 200 person freeroll. It's not gonna take that long to fill up.
I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

Good luck. I'm in the Poker Stars $20 rebuy, and I'm cleaning up right now. Only rebought immediately, and I have over 16k in chips just after the first break, which is 7th right now. Been getting some great cards.

Finsihed 19th 2 mins before I was in third place, played some marginal cards (best i'd seen for about an hour) all with potential until the river, went out with KK Vs AK a rivered Ace, got my money in on the flop. Blinds were 1200 / 2400.

Really gutted, got about 3 hours sleep until i have to get up and i won $48

The tourney was pretty much a crap shoot too, once the blinds get big enough so everyone only has ten left its just crazy.

I think i'll leave them alone from now on, they seem a bit of a waste.

Man I'm so angry about this MTT, I was pretty much playing with rags all night either getting lucky flops or bluffing. One pocket pair all night and I got busted with it.

I think I'll play them again but only if they are played during my normal playing hours, 3 hours sleep isn't much fun

What pisses me off the most is reaching the last 2 tables, being in third place and throwing all my chips away to finish 19th. It's like I couldn't control my hand over the raise button.

The last hand was just tragic JJ vs KK vs AK. All unders until the turn, I must be an 85% fav here. In fact I think this happened most of the night dominated hands were dealing out the punish, someone went out AA vs KK a rivered K.

Got into an argument with some foolio too, it was a nice bonus when he finished 31st to bubble with T high I started giving him some good old fashioned trash talk but got moved table. This also didn't help, I was on the same table all game got moved and didn't have one player read.

Sorry to rant all i'm just so pissed off, if this had been live I would just have wanted to grab the pot and scream "NOOO, I'M STILL IN I HAVE CHIPS!!!".

/end rant

ok, I think I'm better taking 2 days off

I actually watched toasty in this tourney while I played some SnGs.

First hand I saw was when he flops a boat with 98s. hehe "CHECK"

Watching the guy argue with toasty was good for a few laughs. He was saying toasty didn't know how to play, blah, blah. Then guy guy busts out on the bubble with rags. Poetic justice.

The average stack size is 10k and limits are 1200/2400 no way to move, thats why I don't like party/empire skins. The tourneys turn into crap shoots.

On a side not I've never seen so many draws hit for someone, you had a few lucky hands there.

And your bluff rags, to catch an 8 on the river and win? Rippy would be proud!!!

That's what I'm saying how many times did you see me show down a decent hand ? It was rag city those Kings looked like Gold!!! by the time I got them.

From an outside point of view how would you rate my play ? I think I was coming over a little manaiacal, that's how i felt anyways having to play all that junk. I must have stole over 50% of the pots I won, sitting at home willing people to fold on the river.

1st Place was $1600 I really felt like I had a good chance to win it or at least make the final 5

The last one kicked off with $17k so 1st was probably about $4,000, I also think the last one was NL.

Well its all experiance and this is what I think I learnt.

The games start loose passive > tight passive > tight aggressive.

The blinds are incredibly dumb, way to high, once the blinds hit 100/200 I don't think I had more than 15BBs for the rest of the night. When it was down to the last 20 I was 3rd in chips and the two above wasn't miles higher. This gave me enough for 11BBs, I can't even cap 1 hand every round with that.

Because of this bluffing at pots become incredibly important as almost all of the pots are heads up.

3 betting from the big blind helps a lot in getting the raiser fold.

Once in the money I think the safer strategy would be to wait for big cards only if you have a lot of chips. I probably could have antied my way into the last 10 to win a few hundred dollars even if I didn't catch a better hand.

3 betting PF and on the flop are a waste unless you have a hand that you will need to bluff later, i'm sure if I'd called raises with my KK in the multi pot and popped the turn the AK would have layed down the hand and I would have beaten the JJ to be back to the top in chips (Winner of this hand won 22k or something).

If you are going to play a hand you might as well raise I think I only called pre flop when it was cold calling or it was multi way all ngiht.

Also because I'm GMT the times they finish are crazy, if I want to play MTTs I'm going to have to find a site that run ones at normal times. Can any European players let me know of nicely timed MTTs ?

I didn't see all of your plays. I had your avatar up in the side of my screen. If I noticed you with cards in front and I wasn't in a hand I'd watch the hand.

All in all I'd say you played that thing like you had to. You were very agressive and it worked. I did see you hit a few flushes with suited connectors those were nice. But I believe in the big MTTs you have to be a bit lucky, especially once the blinds get that high.

Party/Empire blinds go up too fast and hard to sit and wait.

I'd rather win without a showdown than take hands to the river each time.

PokerPages Software

PokerPages runs MTTs 24 hours a day, there is a new one starting every 2 hours pretty much. I'm also GMT and I find it perfect.

Also the server times are GMT so you don't have to do any calculations from American times to find out when a certain tourney is starting.[/url]
