As some may know, Interpoker has a good thing going. They offer 100% bonus up to $90 every month that is fairly easy to clear.
They also have propping opportunities. Every time I'm in the $1/2 game, I get offers about every 30 mins. to play 2/4 (pounds) at a rate of $10/hr.
As I'm not too savvy with interational currency, this has me perplexed. What effect, if any, does the currency difference make?
I'm thinking that it would mean I'd need a bigger br, as the brits have almost 2 pounds to every dollar of mine. Does that give them an advantage? Also, is there a cost for conversion?
Any thoughts on this? Does it sound like a good deal?

2 pounds is about $3.70USD, so it'd be close to playing $4/$8

Yes, and if it is convienient exchange, it is likely pricy enchange. I'm not advocating you do this in your unspoken situation, but some Brits keep much of their bankroll in dollars, so they don't have to constantly pay the painful conversion rates to play the many poker sites the use dollars. And some US players keep some BR in pounds to take advantage of some GBP sportsbook and casino offers. And I read of one player bragging that part of his bankroll was in Euros, so he was benefiting from the drop in US currency value. If this Intertops prop offer is your only need for intn'lexchg, this whole thing probably doesn't apply to you yet.

Interpoker won't charge you anything to convert and then convert back when you leave the table, that would be ridiculous, no one would ever play outside their own currency. As you said, playing £2/4 basically equals $4/8 and you need the roll to cover it, you could step up, do $2/4, euro2/4, £2/4
If you're rolled for $1/2 i wouldn't reccomend playing £2/4, you need 4 times the roll for that.

Ya, kind of figured on the conversion. Thanks. So this might sound odd, but do you think Brits have an advantage playing against Americans?
I don't know the price of a loaf of bread in Manchester, but your currency is stronger - in a way it's taking me 2 bets to call your single bet.
For some reason, that's nagging at me as I think about stepping up at a site populated largely by European players.

It doesn't really matter, i wish all sites ran in £ because then my bankroll would be twice as big as it is but what can you do. The bets are obviously smaller if you convert to £ but i'm used to working in $ now for poker and bankroll management still applies regardless of currency, hence this thread.
I'm hoping the $ will strengthen to 1.7 so i can convert at a better rate but i guess the american economy will have to improve for that and who knows when that'll happen.
I'm going travelling for 5 months soon and haven't decided whether to cash out my $ and earn interest on my roll or leave it as $ and hope the $ is stronger by the time i get back.
Hopefully as poker gets more popular in Europe we'll start seeing £100 deposit bonuses, that would be great.
