Does anyone have an opinion on Interpoker? I noticed they have a sweet 100% deposit bonus until the end of this month that I am hoping I can still be involved in.
I play limit poker, how are the players compared to party and stars? Any other information would be great.
I noticed that the lowest stake they have is a 1/2 LHE, how hard is it to clear the bonus? etc.
Thanks for the help.

Check out this thread and it should answer most of your questions about Interpoker....
http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...pic.php?t=2767
Also, they do have .50/1 NL tables if you are so inclined. I haven't personally played the limit tables there but if they are anything like the NL tables you should be able to do quite well if you play TAgg.
With regard to the bonus, even if you deposit money today and don't clear it by the end of the month they claim that the bonus rolls over into the next month. So, if you don't clear the September bonus and you re-deposit to get the October bonus, you will play hands in October to clear the September bonus first and then once it is cleared you would begin clearing the October bonus
Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Question about interpoker -
I deposited 85.00 there two days ago, but the funds are not available to play yet. I used live help chat and they told me the funds can take 7-9 days to clear. Anyone else experience this? I used firepay...

How did you deposit the funds?

Firepay. The money still hasn't gone in. I called them and they told me that when using Firepay it takes about 9 business days to go through, but it is instant using Neteller. What a drag. First time I have run into this.

Update on Interpoker Firepay deposit. My funds are finally available and I'm starting to play now.
Deposit: Oct 8
Cleared: Oct 20
12 calendar days which is just ridiculous. Makes me wonder if they really want my action or not.
I did get this email 2 days ago which I thought was funny:
Quote:
Hi Lonnie,
I have noticed that you registered an InterPoker account on October 8, but I have not yet seen you on the tables. Please see below for details of a special offer available just for you!
Play on any InterPoker real money table (using the below account) between now and October 28 and I will credit your account with $20 within one working day! No strings attached.
|
So I will get extra money for waiting at least.
Question about the bonus: Are they going on raked hands or amount wagered? At their website I saw 5 times the raked hands. In an email I saw:
Quote:
|
You will receive a free 100% bonus from us when you make your first deposit of the month over $25 (5 times wagering requirement).
|
The email makes me think it is based on dollar amount wagered, not # of raked hands.
If it is raked hands, then do they count all hands that you are dealt cards or just the ones where you put money in the pot? And what is the minimum pot size requirement? I know at PokerStars it is 10.00.
Thanks

lhoney,
the original bonus is on raked hands only, hands that which you are dealt, of which the pot is over $5 (not necessarily if you put in money or not).
Since Interpoker has no easy way to give you the number of raked hands you have played you can 1) ask them...which, all they do is count up by hand ( i think so at least) the number of raked hands because they take like 30 minutes to tell you.
Or, just multiply the total number of hands played by around 72% and thats the percentage of ranked hands on average (after two sessions). This way is much easier for me because after you make the total number of hands the bonus is given instantly. You might want to sign up for your withdrawl Pin NOW and not wait until you are ready to withdraw because it will be at least 2 weeks.

Thanks jef -
I got an email the other day saying they were sending the PIN via mail and that it would be 5-7 days. I think today is the 4th or 5th day, so I'll bug them if I don't get it soon.
Thanks for the bonus info - I use PokerTracker, so I should be able to tell pretty easily when I clear the bonus.
My first session there-
235 hands, 4.3 hours, +16.00, +3.40BB/100, 20.85% VP$IP
I figure I'm about halfway there.
What you said about the tight play I've found to be 100% accurate.
Using PokerTracker's Summary screen:
2258 hands, 27.41% VP$IP for all players, and it was a full 10 man ring just about the whole time. Pretty low considering that's the lowest limit they have there.
I did find that post flop play loosened up considerably. It seemed like everyone there was using a chart for preflop play, but were clueless on tough flops and made too many loose calls.

Yeah, no kidding about the chart. You will receive 10% of the bad beats you would receive on any Party Skin and probably 25% of those that you would receive at Poker Stars.
Don't get too comfy though you have to go to Party again sometime. Just not enough tables and the games are too slow for my blood.

Jef- where did you get this info? I just used the live help at Interpoker, because I had 468 hands and wanted to see where I was at. The lady told me I had 160 raked hands, and that I had to see the flop for a hand to count.

She must be incorrect, play another 150 hands or so and see if the bonus will be deposited into your account. I KNOW i didn't see 450 hands on the flop to get either of my bonuses the last two months, I bet I didn't see 175.
They could have changed it just recently, that would suck pretty bad if that was the case, but I am pretty sure she is wrong. I cleared my bonus there just last week.
Keep me informed.

I dont know interpoker is weird cause I was playing 2 tables for around an hour and when I emailed them to see how many I had(cause for some weird reason the chat thing never has a person it always comes up with a blank chat box and no one ever responds) they said I only had 5 raked hands. Maybe its just on a slight delay like Royal Vegas's is. I do need to get back with her on that because I deposited another 90 this month just to make sure I didnt miss a bonus (plus they gave me a free 20 straight up like last month because I had withdrawn everything) so now I have like 180 to clear if I decide to do it.

Just an update on this bonus - I did get the 20.00 within 24 hours as promised.
I'll let you know how the other bonus comes out.
If I actually have to see the flop 450 times, that could take me a few thousand hands. I don't really like the place enough to do that. Games are looser elsewhere. Plus 1/2 is not my regular game - I am still down in .25/50 and .50/1.00 mode for the most part. I am up 3.something BB/100 at Interpoker, so I may stick around awhile longer.
I also received my PIN in the mail within the time they specifiied, 5-7 days.

I actually got pissed off and cashed out. There are too many other good places to play.
Deposited 85, got 20 bonus because they took so long to let me play, then won 15 while playing. I'm +35 there, they can keep their bonus.

I have to say that I am surprised by some people's apparent disdain for InterPoker. While I will agree that the play itself is pretty slow, I haven't had any problems with receiving my pin (got it within the time they specified that I would get it in), getting my bonuses (I do not believe that you have to see the flop for a raked hand to count. I am pretty sure that you just have to be dealt cards.), or cashing out (always receive my money within 1-2 days. Longer than other sites but taking into consideration that the funds come from a European source I think 1-2 days is pretty reasonable).
Maybe I have just been lucky but I don't really have anything bad to say about the site. I personally think the games are extremely loose. Albeit, a little less loose than when i initially signed up there 3 months ago. Nothing much to look at aesthetically but certainly nothing to distract me at the tables either.
Oh well, once again, that's what makes the world go around I guess. Right?

I agree with you JM, its no god's gift of poker but i can definately stand it to get the bonus. I figured it out, it takes about 10 hours of single table action to clear the $90 bonus. Thats $9 an hour if you just break even, thats excellent money, Guaranteed 4xBB/hr + whatever you make at the tables. Definately worth my time once a month.

You hit the nail directly on the head there, elipsesjeff! That is exactly how I look at it. When the tables are good (and they are good fairly frequently but this is offset by the low number of players being that most of them are European and the numbers thin out when I am able to play in the evening hours in the U.S.) I tend to play longer since the action is usually profitable. If it's not that great, at least i know I am working off a nice bonus.
Once a month for a few hours to clear a $90 bonus is definitely worth it to me.

I played for over 12 hours - 700 hands. They didn't give me the bonus and told me I had to actually have money in the pot for the hand to count. It appeared as That was my experience.
I left because:
I usually play .50/1.00 anyway.
The bonus was misleading, according to the info they gave me.
There are easier to beat games elsewhere.
It took 12 days before i was allowed to play the money I deposited.
No disdain, just want to take my meager profits and move on.

Just to clear up the confusion that we seemed to have had regarding what constitutes a raked hand to count toward your wagering requirments when clearing interPoker bonuses, here is a direct correspondence from interPoker's support team:

I had forgotten that I even sent them an email asking them this question. It took them forever to respond. And by forever, I mean well over a week. I would guess my email just got lost in the shuffle because that seems like an awfully long time to respond from a support perspective.
However, yes, I agree that if that is the case then it makes clearing the bonus more bearable with the slow software.

Glad to help. Hope it helps you get that bonus. I would imagine that they should release it. According to that e-mail it should be a cut & dried case for you. Good luck. Hopefully they respond to you faster then they got back to me.

I remember calling Interpoker up on the phone and asking them about the very same thing and they told me that [b]I have to have had a stake in the rake aka you have to see the flop for it to count towards bonus clearing.

It sounds like the support staff at Interpoker are just a nightmare. I'd kind of like to bonus whore there, but I'm really getting turned off by these stories of support staff telling people totally different things. I ran into something similar at Royal Vegas. Their online support staff was telling me I had only a fraction of the raked hands that I really had, despite the fact that I had already received my bonus. They didn't seem to have a clue, and it seems the Interpoker staff is the same way. At least it sounds like Jim has been collecting bonus money from them for some time now without incident.

I had trouble getting pin from ECash Direct so I couldn't cashout for a month but they pay me the 100% bonus max $90 every month. You need to get 450 points or 5xs bonus amount in raked hands. You only have to be dealt into the hand and the rake has to be like a minimum o $1 or you only get a fraction of a point. Hard to clear and low stakes NL but easy to ckear at 2/4 limit level.

I think everybody needs to just ignore everything the staff at Interpoker has said. The bonus is very simple to get. It is just play 5 times the bonus amount in raked hands. That is it, nothing more. You do not need money in the pot, the rake does not need to be above $1, you do not need to do anything with the poker points they have. I kept good track of the hands that I played there and it is definately just play 5 times the bonus amount in raked hands. No different from a party skin bonus except for the fact that you can get it every month and it's only a $90 bonus instead of $100, which means 450 raked hands instead of 500. If you 2 table, this bonus should be cleared in a matter of hours.
I have a feeling whatever support staff person said you needed to put money in the pot yourself was in fact referring to their poker points promotion, which is pretty worthless and only good for getting into freeroll tournaments.

Ok, I can ignore what they say. The part that I cannot ignore is that I played 700 hands and didn't clear the bonus. My bonus was 85, 5 X 85=425. I'm sure I should have cleared the bonus based on the qualifications you posted.

The only thing I can think of is the fact that play on Interpoker is very tight compared to other poker rooms and you might have happened to sit down at an especially tight table, so even playing 700 hands, you didn't quite get the requirement of 425 raked hands.

Dr. - This is true. I haven't had any trouble whatsoever with InterPoker. I received my pin within the time that they told me that I would. The first month I joined there they were running a $50 monthly bonus which I collected without incident playing 5x the raked hands. The very next month is when they changed the bonus to the 100% matching up to $90 and I have collected that full bonus without incident 3 months running.
I will admit that the support people seem a little lost for the most part. Also, it is extremely slow to get a response from them. Almost to the point of being unacceptable from the standpoint of support. Even when I have used their Live Chat feature the response is unacceptably slow.
However, I can't complain with the bonus money. $320 in bonus money over the last 4 months is enough that I can put up with the bad support since I have never really had a truly important support issue that needed to be addressed.

Are you kidding me!!? InterPoker is one of the loosest, if not the loosest (Party/Skins being the only thing comparable, IMHO) poker rooms that I have ever encountered. I think you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who agrees with you on this point, Nehmer.

Might depend on table selection for this. I have only played at the 1/2 tables and only during the day on Interpoker. The game might be completely different at night or in NL games, but from the times I have played there, it is definately tighter than either the Party skins or Pokerroom(the only other places I have played).

I agree with you nehmer, especially at the limit tables. The players are very tight passive and very seldom do you get more than one person going to showdown.
jm, do you play NL? there could be a discrepancy there.

Yes, I play the .50/1 NL tables there. Perhaps that's where the discrepancy lies.
Nehmer, if you were referring to limit tables then I apologize as I have not played limit at InterPoker.

I can back up the fact that the 1/2 tables at InterPoker are tight. I was surprised at how many times a PFR would fold the entire field. Draws were almost impossible for me to play there, and playing draws is the best part of poker I think.
Although the preflop play was very tight, the postflop play was clueless for the most part. It's not that these players are good, they are just hesitant to put money in the pot. I suspect most of them are just there to clear their bonus like I was.
No fun. I was able to eke out a small profit, ~1.5 BB/100, and that was when my game was much weaker than it is now. I still think my 700 hands should have been good enough though.

Yeah, lhoney. I think you have a valid case there. As a general rule you can safely assume that about 70-72% of the total hands that you play will be raked. That being said, using 70% of the 700 hands that you played that should still give you in the neighborhood of 490 raked hands which is more than enough to clear that bonus.
I would keep at it with the support staff and I think eventually they will cave.
One thing you might want to try. If you felt like really being a stickler, there is a "logs" directory under the main InterPoker directory that you can look at with Windows Explorer that houses every hand that you have played. It would be tedious because they log each hand in it's own separate *.txt file unlike say, Party that puts all hands from the same session in the same *.txt file. However, you should have physical proof on your hard drive of the amount of raked hands that you played during any given range of time (since the files are all dated by when they were created/played) if you wanted to go through the hands and see how many were raked. Tedious, but just a thought.

lhoney,
is there a way for PokerTracker to tell you the number of raked hands played? Otherwise try it that way.

You can download Cryptocounter which counts your raked hands and InterPoker and it is free.
FYI In the spirit of full disclosure I am an admin of the site that hosts cryptocounter.

CLEARLY you've never played at a nursery poker room. Like taking candy from babies... candy from babies.
They are so easy to read. When they don't have a hand they cry and when they make a huge hand, they shit their pants. It's a little harder game to beat online.
But sure.. maybe this the second best.
