Did anyone else read up on this offer that ran last night?
I hit Quad Aces last night. So I went to check the terms & conditions. I reread it several times. I am almost positive that it said if you hit Quad Aces with pocket aces it paid 1,000 times the big blind. Then like 100 times for quad JJ-KK.
I got so excited. $250 for playing at a $25NL table. Well this morning I received an email saying I got $25 (100x the BB). I just have this feeling something fishy is up. I went back and reread the promotion today and it says 100x payout for quad aces. I read that atleast 4 times last night cause I couldn't believe I hit such a sweet payout.
So, anyone remember or anyone savvy enough (who had visited the promotional pages last night--not today) to go through your temporary internet files and pull the .html or related pic files?
I obviously can't complain, I got $25 free, but after thinking I won $250, and still feeling that was the real deal, it's a let down.

MyPokerMatch.com's news section from 21st August reads:
Hollywood Poker has a special promotion on August 29th, 2006 between 7 p.m. and 2 a.m. where players can win up to $1,000 if they hit quad aces, king, queens, or jacks in a Texas Hold'em cash game. To be eligible, players must hold at least one ace or face card, with the board adding the remaining cards to complete the quad.
Following is how this promotion works:
AAAA to JJJJ with one pocket card: players receive 25x the big blind.
KKKK to JJJJ with both pocket cards: players receive 50x the big blind.
AAAA with both pocket cards: players receive 100x the big blind.
The maximum single payout is $1,000. Players may win multiple times during the duration of this promotion, although the maximum payout to any single player cannot exceed $1,000.
So sorry dude - it seems you say the repeated use of the 1,000 figure and jumped to the wrong conclusion.

Thank you very much biondino!
Atleast now I can let it go. The most logical explanation was that I was an idiot and misread, but I read it so many times. Greed I guess. Thank you very much for the confirmation.
Now how lucky is it that I hit my first quad aces ever with pockets after 60,000 hands within the 7 hour times span of this promotion??
Not to mention that the only other guy who called my preflop raise hit a set and let me get to that fourth ace on the river!

Congrats man, I was sitting at a 4/8 limit table, and one guy at our table flopped Quad J's, with the Pockets in his hand already. Nice payday for him indeed. Heh, greedy bastard was complaining that he got no action after the flop :P
