I was playing around at Poker Stars today and came a cross the heads tournaments. I love playing heads up, so i figured I'd give it a try. I won 4 in a row. These are a lot of fun. Anyone else like playing one on one?

As far as Poker Stars goes, I like it. They seem to have a nice selection of Tournaments. I think I'm going to give PartyPoker a rest and keep on playing @ PS for a week or so and see how I do. I actually just joined a $3 NL Tourney with no fee. You dont see that at Party Poker.
Some days even my lucky rocket ship underpants won't help.

Yep. Since signing up with PokerStars for our tourney, I've been playing a lot more there lately. Haven't tried the one-on-one tourneys. I think I've played 6 tourneys so far and placed in the money in 2 of them, putting me at a little less than even.

I haven't tried the ring games there yet. I'm sure I will this week.

 Heads-up tourneys seem odd to me.

When you're playing heads-up, isn't it somewhat of a coin-toss as far as who will win it? I mean, unless you're a grandmaster at reading people through a computer interface, isn't it just a matter of who gets more good cards?

I said they were fun, Thats it. I would only play for the excitement. Not really to make money. I am a true gambler, I love the excitement. With my friends i bet on everything from what the color of the next car to pass will be to who will win survivor.

Heads up tourneys have really nothing to do with the cards you are dealt, just like full tables... When I play in a heads up tourny with tight pussy, I crush them because they almost blind themselves to death. I keep throwing feelers out there sooner or later I will hit my cards, then you'll get crushed for a bigger pot. If you raise my bet. folding is an option... I play a super system/Gus Hanson type game.
You don't have to have the nuts. Just the balls!

agreed, I might be one of the very few who think theres a lot of skill in heads-up play.
