I've played a decent amount of microstakes at both sites to get a feel for the players. Upwards of 20K at Fulltilt and around 50K at Pokerstars. I noticed a big difference in play at the two sites.

Fulltilt: many more players that are very tight, sometimes you'll find a loose donk, but usually you will find half of a table playing 8/5 or something similar to this.

Pokerstars: Find a wide variety of players. You will find a couple regulars at your table, but you will also find some real randoms that play like 35/2 or find the maniacs who play 65/35.

I feel pokerstars is much easier to beat, but you can go on bigger swings due to the variety of players.

Do you think the reason for this difference is that most people on fulltilt are trying to break even while achieving their bonus?

the bonus and rakeback is a big factor with more people trying to just keep a steady game going without to much risk to hit their goals.

Overall In Terms of better site its Pokerstars hands down over Tilt

there do seem to be a lot of bonus clearing nits on full tilt. regardless, there are still plenty of bad players on both sites

i tempted between both. in fairness the euro games are so full of nits that Ive had better success on us sites. right now stars have a reload bonus i may go for.

from now on i may just jump between stars, FTP and party. ive also no problems with Abs or UB.

btw on FTP bonuses you just talking about the deposit bonuses?
Jman: every time the action is to you, it's an opportunity for you to make the perfect play.

I've failed miserably at getting any money into pokerstars. The debit card I used last time (like 2ish years ago) doesn't work there. I set up a c2p account and that doesn't work. WU anally rapes you to facilitate the transfer. Now I'm deciding whether it's worth it to just get a cashiers check and mail it or just go with FTP. I don't get rakeback, but apparently I'm on some sort of list and yeah, it's a list, so that's good right?
Check out my self-deprecation here!

You can go to a local store that supports the VISA gift card thing and use that.

well if stewie says so...

Thanks for your help guys, but the bonus expired.

I'll just wait out full tilt, see if they do anything.

The absolute worst case is that I have to wait for another bonus.

Good luck. I think Pokerstar bonuses are pretty rare though.

I've played there on and off for a while, they seem to have bonuses just when their big events come around (couple of times a yr). Most recent one was for 25 billionth hand, I think they normally have a bonus on when they run the WCOOP too but not certain.
The poker gods love me really, they are just testing my faith !
