the mini cooper
i recommend getting things you want, otherwise buy the things that you can onsell most profitably - this varies by location.
I got a camera the other day - took about a week to arrive from the other side of the world....
I'm looking at getting a whole pile of i-pods and selling them.

Fulltilt has many tournaments that require pts to buy in. I did a 2500 pts buyin satellite to the ftops main event 535 buyin event hosted by John Juanda. I didn't finish in the top 40 or however many seats they were giving away, but it was a good way to use the pts.

if you have a lot of points then you'll still have a lot of points after playing satellites.
I just checked, and one of the biggest buy-ins I saw was 5.5k points for a 9 player sng, to sat into the sunday $750k guaranteed. Buy-in for that is $200+$16 and second place in the sng gets about the same points back. So this is about $200/40k points.
I think Joe has a point, for the satellites with a bunch of free seats and a decent apparent overlay, this could be a good use of points - assuming you can convert the seat to $T or something. But generallly I don't think the tourneys are really worth it

I like to play point sats for tournaments I want to play in or just find sats that fit my schedule and point budget then just unregister for the tournament and use the $T for whatever I want.
Unless I'm confusing FT with somewhere else, they now have a way to convert $T into money (although there is some "fee")
