next time, (FYI) they'll usually post outages on the homepage of their website, check there.
If there isn't an actual notice of technical difficulty, the live site update will have info in the lower left block.
Such as the current stats:
0 players
0 tables
994 tourneys
The 994 tourneys is important cuz it gives you a good estimate of how many truly pizzed-off people there are in the world at that moment.

Same here, I had just logged on and signed up for a couple tournaments and folded two hands... I don't know whether I'm out the tourney buy-ins or not, but I suppose it's better than fighting thru 3/4 of the field and THEN disconnecting.

You should have no problem having your buy-in returned.
They'll likely do it automatically when the outage is this severe.
I'm impressed that you seem only slightly pizzed-off.
