Today's the day to qualify for Empire's Free Roll Tournament on Thursday! As soon as I get home I'll be taking a seat at 3 tables to qualify for this thing. You have to play 200 raked hands to get into the $2000 event, and 350 to get into the $3000 event. Shouldn't take too long, I'll only have about 2.5 hours to play, so I should make the 200 hands event no problem.

Good luck you guys, hope to see some of you at Thursday's event!!

I think I'm going to give it a shot.

I am going to make my first deposit......any good bonus codes to use?
Some days even my lucky rocket ship underpants won't help.

I'm not sure you can, I've been checking my stats during my current session, but haven't exited my session yet.

I only have 81 hands played so far...

See you guys there.

I'll see you guys there. I'll be in the $3000 tourney

Should be a good learning experience. I've only played 10 player NL ring and I have 1 day of SNG experience....lol

Did reasonably good with the SNGs that I played the one night though. I think I entered 8 of them (5+1's) and won 2, 2nd twice, 3rd twice. In fact one of the ones I won was a Limit tourney I entered by accident....lol. I had no clue what I was doing but I won it....lmao

Should be fun tonight. I'm going to play tight and pick my spots to pick up chips.

Oh and a couple of other questions....

Typically how many people will be playing a $3000 freeroll tourney like this, how much would it be for 1st and how many spots would pay in the money.

Also how do I sign up for this FTR II tourney? I've seen a few links for it but when I click them it says that the thread does not exist.

Cheers

J.C.

Hey JC,

The links you are seeing for the FTR Tourney are in the members only, exclusive area of the message boards. Members are added by invitation only. Xianti runs these message boards, so I leave it up to him regarding who gets invited, his decision is based on the number of posts made by a user, and the quality and relevancy of those posts.

Good luck, I'm sure if you stay active and contribute, he'll find you, or you can always PM him.

Well I placed 65th, just short of paid positions. Dang! At least it was free and I got my empire deposit bonus by playing those hands =)

Hey KryptoZ, nice job! I guess I didn't qualify, I drove home like a maniac to be ready by 6:00pm, and then I realized it was the first 2,000 players to qualify, and I guess I wasn't one of those. So, then I played 3 SnG's instead, since I was amped up to play tourneys (I normally just play the ring game).

Very respectable finish, too bad you didn't get paid off, but I guess you took down the bonus, so that's like winning something!

Catch you later.

Bah!

I hate limit, it really sucks!

For some reason I was assuming that these freeroll tourneys would be NL but of course they weren't. Nothing is more frustrating than having the best hand and not being able to protect it with a big bet. For the record I sucked and was out early. Bet like a madman to protect a couple of hits on the flop only to lose to chasers.
