Oops. So I signed up at Vegas24/7 and made a deposit today. I guess I assumed that I would get the bonus automatically because of my rakeback referral. I've already sent an E-Mail to support, but since I've heard that they are extremely slow, I thought I'd go ahead and ask here.
Has anyone done this before? What do you think the chances are of getting this bonus? It seems silly to me that you have to enter a bonus code when there is no referral involved. There's a huge banner at the Vegas247 website advertising the bonus and code, why not just give it to everybody who makes their first deposit?

....because some forget and they don't have to pay.
Who told you to go here? What made you decide on Vegas 24/7? I ask because you have made a real odd choice of rooms? You may want to rethink your decision. I would not go anywhere else without using the huge amount of information at your fingertips, FTR.

Some people go to 24/7 because they can't get RB at AP but they can get it on 24/7.
I thought your problem sounded familiar, so I went to my email account.

So there you go, you shouldn't have anything to worry about; they will probably manually add your bonus.

I have decided to withdraw from Stars due to their interface and to pursue bonuses. However, I live in the United States, so my choices are very limited. I chose a room with good traffic and a decent bonus.
Perhaps it's because you're Canadian, but I'm a bit put off by your presumption that I haven't done my research. If you can suggest a better site (US friendly), I'm all ears.
Courti, that's very helpful. Thanks.

As it stands right now, AP, the parent company is being alleged of having Superuser accounts. (search if you don't know) AP and 24/7 share tables and you play against the AP players. The problem is the traffic at AP, and by association 24/7, has reduced considerably.
As of July, AP has started a promotion known as the Bad beat Jackpot. This promotion is only available to the AP players and not the 24/7 players, At $50NL and up, most of the tables are BBJ tables, meaning you will have a very poor selection of tables at $50NL.
Your probably thinking, doesn't matter I play $25nL, judging by your BR in your sig. Fair enough, your right, but where do you go if your a fish looking to gamble it up. Unless your a player that understands BR management, and only players that actually read about the game do, why play $0.10/$0.25 when you can play just one level up and maybe hit that sweet jackpot?
So the way I see it, and it's just a guess, There will be less gamblers Vegas 24/7 than AP since they don't care about Rakeback or bonuses, there will be less traffic because of the Superuser allegations, there will be less tables since most have moved to the BBJ tables so table selection will suck and you will be playing against a greater number of grinders than gamblers since only smart players would play tables without that $200K jackpot.
I'm sorry if you did your homework and I put you off, if I'm wrong so be it. I just think UB or stars is a better choice for a grinder, until you actually have the stakes and money to get Full benefit of the bonuses and rakeback.

Hmm.. I was aware of the superuser drama, and you are correct that I wasn't too concerned about it given my stakes. That BBJ stuff is news to me though. Ugh. You're right, it does appear to be a poor choice. I'm switching to FT as soon as I hit $600, so I don't expect to play at 24/7 for too long, but I may jump ship if table selection is indeed horrible.
Thanks.

I have just cleared the $600 bonus at full tilt (NL25 6max) and the games are not great but are beatable; it took me a while to adjust from pokerroom idiots. Generally there are a few classic fish, more rocks than average and lots of regulars who have read on 2+2 that aggression is *GOOD* but haven't really thought about when to use it, but will happily tell you how much 'equity you are bringing to the table' when you hit a flush against them. I liked one guy who would try to steal your blind every time it was folded to him and fold every time he missed top pair when you bet/raised him on the flop.
The software can also be a bit 'glitchy' and disconnect a bit, however the look of the room is good, resizable tables etc, etc.
To be honest I nearly quit half way through as I am a Eurodonk and have lots of choice but am glad I stuck it out. To find a really good game you generally had to be playing at about 3am UK time on Friday night. Table selection is importand so leave when it starts folding to the big blind 3 times in a row...
Second point - The VP247 bonus will not clear at 25NL.
Generally a room with rake back and which is poker tracker friendly will be less fun than a room which has neither.

AP has the BBJ, 24/7 does not, b/c of this 24/7 only shares the tables on AP that do not have the BBJ, which are usually full of regs not wanting to pay the extra rake and certainly do not have the gambooling fish on them.

It supports PT
It gives RB
It has a nice Bonus
It has Cardrunners support
It is full of 2+2'ers
All of this equates to better players or at the very least "tighter" players who aren't huge donators at the lower stakes. I've always believed that rb/bonus are just added bonuses, and should not really be included in winrate or earnings in a sense. I want to be a winner in the game I play at 5ptbb+, and then tack on any bonuses/RB I can find.
For Americans I would suggest in this order
AP
UB
Bodog
Cake
Pokerstars
FTP
Bodog was the best site ever when they had that bottomless bonus, I think I cleared the bonus 4 times a month, which at 10% of a $1000+ roll was frickin sweet. I love AP b/c the site has a lot of fish and the regs might have been scared away by the bot scandal. UB has really fast software which means more h/hr agains the fish. Pokerstars has a huge player base and no real bonus/rb so the grinders tend to not show up. All of this makes me conclude that FTP is at the bottom of my list.

I would just like to report that V247 is fantastically fishy thus far, although this is over a limited sample.
That said, I really appreciate all the advice in this thread. My apologies to Jyms for being a jerk. For some reason I interpreted your tone as condescending, but I realize now that you were just trying to be helpful.
Anyway, I think I will stay at Vegas24/7 for a while, at least until the action dries up. However, I may reconsider moving to FullTilt once I reach $600. I think it might be a better idea to bonus whore when my bankroll is bigger. In the meantime, I'll probably sit down at the softest tables I can find and grind it up.
Customer Support did manually add the bonus, but I don't really expect to clear it any time soon. Thanks again for the replies.

Add Prima towards the top too, you're from Texas, right? Fast software and >40% RB...
